Wow...they changed it to "LED Power". Usually most sellers use the "LED Watts" term. Still cracks me up to see it. I can find dictionary definitions for a watt, scientific formulas for calculating them, etc..etc.. But still searching the web far and wide for any kind of standard or common definition of just what the heck a LED Watt is supposed to be. I suppose if they're doing actual measurements in lab conditions of the lumens produced compared to say incandescent. But is there even a standard of which incandescent, HPS, MH, etc..etc... to compare them against to come up with "LED Watts"? I dunno...I get the impression that it's almost a pulled out of thin air number with half the listings I read. :baked:

Think I'm getting more in the school of thought that growers should start taking more of a look at lumens requirements per plant or per square foot or something more along those lines, then have the lighting folks give us that output in the specs along with the wattage. Of course the wattage is still good to know from a "cost to run" point of view, and would need the lighting manufactures to actually want to provide the lumens info. But hey...a dude can dream, right?

Ok...just babbling now. Too much lighting on the brain again lately.
