Nice!! Yeah I speak pretty good Spanish and I had a few Spanish friends with me so it was awesome. But even if you didn't speak a word of Spanish you'd be just fine. The Ticos are a happy friendly people!! There's no time like Tico Time!! Lol well maybe 4:20...

I speak Spanish fluently and read, but can't write to save my life.

I've been seriously planning on getting my room off the grid. My neighbor powers his whole house (granted its a tiny two room cabin) on panels and batteries. So yeah... We definitely need a sunny spot!! Lol ah I miss Costa Rica...

The woman who runs the kennels near us is off grid and she says getting set up with soar panels is the fastest way she knows to go bankrupt..cost is so prohibitive here.

I feel right at home here, safe, loved and respected by people I feel the same for in return.

That's why I like the island idea, it gives us privacy and safety!

There are some cheap ones near Croatia where the weather should be good for patio pot.

I'm game! Was looking in a different direction, Maine, but have to say that the cold makes me uncomfortable. I HATE digging snow! And I'm a zombie in the winter, bad winter blues here. My soul wants to hibernate!

I have heard africans loudly, complain about the danish summer being worse heat wise due to humidity, than sub-sahara

Guy who Helps us with the land work is Ghanese..he says when his mother and Sister plant the tomatoes etc outdoors they only have to water them in..coz it rains every night..sub tropical....you would think it got drier the nearer you got to the equator.

I loved where we were in Tenerife, it got enough rainfall to make all the plants flower but it was still lovely and warm! We had days of 30C in November. I think both my boys are missing the warmth, I know I am too. I had just stopped using the electric blanket over there at night, it's on the bed here now and gets used all the time I'm under the covers.

Oooh you will be cold if you are back Home..although saying that..we are unseasonably cold ATM..not our normal spring.

Not good hes really upset je has lost all feeling in his right arm and he was my gym partner and is worried he will never lift agsin he got his stiches out on Friday

Tell him to be patient, he's young and will probably recover more than he thinks. I mean, you saw my leg. I couldn't walk at all for almost a year, and for the first 6 months, they weren't even sure I'd be able to walk again, the bone was really torn.

Still, I recovered and other than the scar, you'd never guess that happened... [emoji121] [emoji4]

That's the problem with rented homes. The inspection is obligatory.

Where we were, the first language spoken was Spanish and the second was German LOL then English a long way behind. Luckily I speak a little German too, because I did 8 years of French at school and it still overrides the Spanish in my head *sigh* Confused? Yeah definitely, I'd say sentences and half was Spanish, a third German and the odd French or English word too. AAARRGGGHH!!!!
