This is the reason I have resisted COBs so far. The height restriction. I just got over burned leaves with a regular led. Now that I have some more space though, I could make that up in training with larger plants. It's a learning curve.

Sounds like those COBs would go great with a scrog.

I just tore down a 5 ft high tent, and I was very restrictd by max height. I wouldnt have put a COB in that tent. 24 inches minimum distance feels like a lot. I will have to get used to having more room though.

as long as u get the B-Version of for example the meanwell drivers you can dimm the COB's down to 10% or whatever u think is barly the max your plants can handle at their state and the distance to the COB. when i dimm my CXB3590's ( 1400mA max curent from driver, constant current b-version ) to the minimum of 10% i could get about 3 to 4 inches distance without burning any plant at all.

I know with this bein the first run wirh mine, i started at a height oh 45".. I now have rhem a. Lot closer.. I didnt wanna burn the plants.. Bbit i think this had a lot to do with how hard rhey are driven

you got it, the lower u drive them the closer you can go.
