some of my on the go kits
:pighug:

Come on back down brother. We are the best kept secret going. Lots to not like about some of the culture and inhabitants of the South, but when it hits the fan people here run towards trouble, not away from it.

Being Agnostic can have its challenges down here. Not sure religion is king down here, but church is. Too bad they are not one and the same. I sit at the side watching the world go by.

I came to that realization when I was stationed down in FL a buncha years ago.. Since I was up on the panhandle, it was commonly referred to as "L.A.", or "Lower Alabama". Not sure if it was condescending because a lot of the locals embraced the "redneck." I came across as a very brash, angry dude, but what they didn't know, was that I was only brash, and only a little angry, but that was life, not my culture.. Once I moved back up to MA, I felt a little outta sorts at first because everyone sucked and had very little in the way of manners.. At least a total stranger will hold a door for you or your wife when walking into a bldg in the south; not so much up here..

I think there's a lot to be said about the, "caged animal", phrase, as we literally all just packed into a tiny area like sardines, and wonder why everyone is in such foul moods!!! I still have a lot of the "Southern hospitality" in my character, mostly from living down there for a while.. Loved the place and can't wait to move back!!

Toronto has an estimated population of 2.81 million in 2016. The greater census metropolitan area (CMA) has a much larger population of 5.5 million. I live in what is refered to the CMA . Now I call that " Rats in A Trap " and the behaviour exhibited by people living under those conditions is truly like trapped animals as it is in most heavily populated areas . :nono:

One reason I always liked South Florida was that most of the population is from someplace else. Granted, some there longer get territorial or catch Gotminers disease but overall they loosen up. Especially folks from NYC where they may have spent 50 years in the same building and not know the folks down the hall. You know someone has assimilated when you are in line in a market and someone with a heavy Brooklyn accent makes a "Rude New Yorker" comment about the guy with a Bronx accent and 1 too many items in the express lane.(just an example) Once at ease, New Yorkers are as cool as anyone else..
