might be something i do. when i water. and the soil is good and wet. humidity is fine. so a passive evap would work well in my set up

I use airpots and (because the bottom of the tray isn't in contact with the compost in the airpots I can just load it up with water and some upwardly folded bits of capillary matting to raise humidity - your fans are doing most of the work,
