if they say "radiation was provided for 3 h on either side of solar noon" do they mean the did 3 hours before excact mid and 3 hours after excact mid? because thats how i understand it

hmmmm. its worded funny. so. on either side. could mean on one side or other. and can mean both. but my logic has me thinking. 3 hours leading up to the "peak" and 3 hours after the "peak".

The way I interpret that is" Radiation was for 3 hours for before or after exact mid " not both cuz 3 hours on either side to me means one or the other ... I dunno if that makes sense I'm not the brightest star in the crayon box

using the sun as an example. i think what you are trying to get at. and yes i agree its read the same way to me. is the radiation increases 3 hours to peak and decreases 3 hours giving a 6 hour window of radiation and the middle being most intense point.? would make perfect sense with sun cycle. i dont see radiation only being on one side of the up and down.

i think its a technical term of saying both sides. making it sound dumb. kinda like saying you cant go 3 ft either side of this pole. but maybe im just stoned lmao
