Do you have pictures of that dark devil. I saw that strain the other day and was super curious. How was the smoke on it?Hello everyone, I'm back, again. I just popped four of @Magic 's Bubba Trouble's that I won last christmas, will make a thread soon. TLR Did a dark devil auto some 3-4 months back in autopot and it was gone instantly, it was too lit :smoking:

This starter is giving me an idea. I'd love to be able to convince some of my kin here to take up baking. No, not that. Bread. Just three ingredients: Flour, water, and salt. No yeast, no sugars, no fats. And.. **no kneading**.
A starter is a living, breathing colony that takes up residence in a mason jar. Every time you use it, it just gets better, and it can live indefinitely. Additionally, over time the little critters that do the work will be unique to where you live.
The science and biology behind it is fascinating. And the bread it makes will simply be the best you've ever had. Just given mine her third initial feeding, and I took a picture of it. In a few hours I'll take another picture and post them side by side. Maybe do a bit more of a writeup on the process. Depends on how drunk I get between now and then.
In a nutshell - mix in a bowl - cover and put in the fridge all day - take out, shape, rise, bake. And you don't need me to tell you how much better this is - on all fronts - than what is commercially produced.
