That's the hard thing when funds are the main issue. I've overstretched what we have just to give my family a Christmas experience that we've never done. Don't know how long I'll be able to do things as each day for me is another hurdle. I'm just trying to live each day and make the best of it.

Hope you guys have a good Christmas...just being together is a big part of it.
We tend not to emphasize it too much because we've had losses that make it hard to enjoy the holidays

I'm trying to get the wife into finding another place. Where we're at now is ok but it can be hard at times as it puts to much stress on my family. That in turns drops me down as I wish that I could do better for my family.

I was looking at property in Alaska though I don’t know if I can handle the cold - I’ve lived in California most of my life. The property sure is cheap though! And a lot of the houses are equipped with their own sources of electricity for my plants. Lol. I don’t think I’d go there if I had kids though.

I'd say If you're still young and you have a sense of adventure go for it you don't have to stay if you don't like it...most people don't
