I’m a beginner, going on my third grow next, and have different seeds. Which strain or combo thereof should I plant next? I have space for 4 plants.
  • Growers Choice AK
  • Oasis Genetics (OG) Auto Gypsy Widow
  • OG Auto Chem OG.
  • OG Auto Emperor J (Jack Herer)
  • Canuck Seeds Auto Amnesia (one seed)
I have 5 seeds of the first kind, and 8 each of all the Oasis Genetics. I’m hesitant to do the Emperor J next because it has the longest flowering time and I want to have a stash built up before I grow it. What do you guys think?
IMPE you should choose by growing characteristics first all autos or all photos then by height. It is easiest to grow plants of similar heights for raising the lights. 3rd is by harvest time keeping them closer together makes it easier to feed the same nutrients and to move on to the next grow. 4th I grow sativa strains in the summer since they handle high heat and humidity the best.

I think the basic idea is that the "bad stuff" (salts and plant sugars) are taken into the water instead of digested like in air curing. The two methods I read about were to soak in a closed jar for 1/2 a day, or to put it in a large bowl with a trickle of clean water for several hours and then soak it for a few more. I think loss of flavor is inevitable with soaking, most people say they do it only to combat mold or if they want weed that don't stink for public use.

edit: I did a pretty severe dip process with warm water once for a mold problem. I could smell the trichomes in the water and in the air. Use room temp or colder water.

Maybe I'm weird but I wouldn't mind commercially water cured bud for the sake of an essentially clean smoke. I don't get hung up on taste and smell so much but I guess I'm more utilitarian in that aspect. I see opportunity in water curing but I think aficionados would define boutique bud by it's taste and smell initially and water curing can't bring that but, if I grew or ran a dispensary, I could guarantee clean flower for medical purposes and have a much faster turnaround from seed to jar.

I don't know though. It's a lot to think about, which I was originally partially thinking of because some acquaintances want to get their licensing before this state becomes legal and asked if I would grow for them. I'm going to take a trip to Colorado next year so I can see what makes a competitive dispensary. A lot is going to depend on the laws should they get passed

We don’t see much of them here but you have to appreciate the males too.

I'm still here just haven't been online the last few days as I feel under the weather so just trying to catch up on a few things. Then back to bed for me. I haven't even checked on my girls and could be a catastrophe in there but I'm hoping not.

Okay so......Blue widow from dinafem = prime toke!!

But shit...i got to say...despite the horrible yield on the Dutch Passion Bubba Island Kush(by the time she preflowered the weather too a dive), hot damn its strong!! Not quite dry yet, but wow does it pack a punch!! Seriously...tony wasnt shitting me when he told me it is ultra potent...too bad it didnt flower on time! Might have to try one indoors sometime, along with that DP Lemon Zkittles i have been itching to try(and a shitload of other sativas i have wanted to try for years)
