Hey stonners I'm back after a long stay away not that I wanted to but I'll let ure imagination work it out
How's my auto warriors doing ?
For anyone who didn't know me hit me up
So happy to be back I've just dropped a fastbuds bdm and rhino Ryder and a dinafem bubba kush

Cool... had to Google that one... very nice.

I just bought a bunch of COBS today, I have always run HID so I knew nothing about them... still dont actually.... but I will be learning.

Now I cant wait to get a fat girl under 1000W HPS supplemented by wall to wall COBS !

Yeah... I know... huge learning curve ahead...

Yeah it’s a beast of a light. The cobs have only been on for 1.5 weeks I think. First weeks were the monochrome only and then I kicked it up with the cobs.

Get cal mag ready if you’re used to growing under hid. This is a big change and took me a few grows to get used to LED.

I use 1 autocob in my window grow, like having a pocket sun!

I figured it might take a few to get used to them.... I've done HID for so many decades now it will be a bit strange.

Height adjustment should still be standard plant read though, correct ?

I have heard they are surprisingly bright.

I have never seen a COB grow light in person

I've got COB flood lights on motion detectors all over my property and those things are bright... but I imagine the grow lights take it up a notch or three....

Setup for first grow will be in a 2x4 tent utilizing Advanced Light ARC Series 400 Watt LED along with fabric pots and organic soil ..... Have some White Crack Seeds .... trying to decide between 2 or 3 plants in my space!

cheersx2, another old guy! do you have your grow thread up? If not fire one up. It will be your home base, a place to rally the troops if anything goes too wrong.

dude don't forget to get some eye protection, grow room glasses are worth it.......especially with cobs:smiley1:

what lights my cabin is a 12 volt surface fixture with 72 tiny cobs, 3/16 the of an inch square, massive light, and only draws about 1 and 1/4 amp from the batts. I usually end up running the autocob 16"-20" above, closer at first doesn't seem to hurt, and finishing out at 16-18 causes no pain, at least for me. I've run it as high as 30 and that works too
