I guess it's the ''clandestine lab" spook.

Not sure if WW is 912? Doubt it but MoB raised safety which is fair enough.

I have waved my arms around in the past about certain subjects including pure gasses and diy generators.. could get ugly..

That said, simmering and low volumes of materials isn't really out of the kitchen and into the lab imo.

What are the odds you would burn or blow yourself up - minuscule - but it happens way too often in cannabis extraction. I also am not saying you cannot do it - just do it in the safest manner available. I have nothing against WW's or 912's recipe I just take exception to doing it on a gas stove with an open flame.

I have a thing about gasoline. It makes great effects. I don't think it gets the respect it deserves, it is so powerful. I see people doing stuff at the gas pumps that drives me crazy. I just looked up how many people burn them selves up at a gas pumps and there are only a couple cases reported over many years compared to Billions of self fills every year. Seems safe............ but not to the ones that burned up.

Please just stay safe.

I've had more problems than I could have ever imagined during this grow and owe a lot of thanks and appreciation for @Waira and @Rev. Green Genes over in the infirmary.

I have come to terms with the fact I don't like edibles. Just not my thing. I much prefer smoking or vaping so that would be my preference. I would however like to make a batch of oil or edibles to give to a family member who could really use it

The path of least resistance would be to smoke your bud and make brownies for your relative. More complicated and costly would be to make an extraction. QWET is not too expensive to get started if you have access to high proof ethanol. Rosin makes great medibles but cost up front is for a press.
