I'm running ebb and flow and I'm having something going on in the root zone, (ph too high after soak), but they seem to be doing better now! Here's a pic, along with the rest of my grow! :headbang:

Well I dumped in some maxi bloom to push the ppms from 560 to probably around 900 and hopefully that fixes the problem. I figured it was light stress but none of the others suffered so I don't know. To me it seemed like either under feeding or a ph issue at the root zone so if more food doesn't work I'll flush it.

Don't use run-off. It is notoriously inaccurate. Get an Accurate 8 soil probe to test the PH in the root zone.
@Mañ'O'Green

OK ...but in the immediate future (next two days) I need to flush I believe. I ph my water/nutes to 5.8 ph and around 500ppm for my 15 day old ladies when I water/feed. I water by hand and water till I get about 25% runoff. They have been lighter in color and stretching like there in no tomorrow (13 inches and 4 nodes). So I decided to test my runoff today and It was scary high...2900ppm and ph of 7.6.

I think I need a flush...:yoinks:

@Damien50 This may be twofold first they look hungry but I am pretty sure it is related to PH. This media is a pure Hydro style grow and the PH range is 5.5 to 6.5 But you can get lock-out at both ends of the range. I grow in rock wool cubes now and have found the best results running from 5.6 to 6.2. I let the PH roam around in that range as this allows the PH to pass through the sweet spot for all of the major and minor nutrient uptake zones. This chart shows graphically what I am talking about:

@Need4Weed Something I learned about ebb &Flow is if your tray is not deep enough to completely cover the grow media you will get a salt buildup at the water line. It causes all manor of problems. It looks like that medium would just float away if you could fill your tray high enough to eliminate the salt build up problem. So what I suggest is once a week to top water with enough to cause a 10% to 20% run-off. This will rinse the salts out. I always did this just before a res change because what rinses out is strong and the make up (nutrient balance) is unknown.

What do the plants look like? Can you post a picture? Does that PPM include the PPM of the starting water? What nutrients are you using? If you are always top watering be sure to do it slowly so it is not just "channeling" through.
