Hey All!!

Wanted to see if anyone had some suggestions for cooling a 4x4 grow tent. I have 2 600w LED's, a 16 inch exhaust fan and an AC Unit in the room. But the temprature in my tent is 82 degrees. My fan is running at its highest speed and the AC is keeping the room at 65-68 degrees.

Anyone else run into similar issues?

If I am reading you correctly, you don't have an exhaust fan to suck the air out of your tent? Regular fans just swirl the hot air around in the tent.
edit: ok I see you said 16" exhaust fan, but is it actually pulling air out of the tent?

1200 watts is a LOT for a 4x4. Theoretically, you want around 30 watts per square foot = 480 watts for a 4x4. Sounds too few? I pulled 43 oz from 3 autos in a 4x4 last run with a 480 w bar array. Although I do sort of wish that I had a little more wattage - like around 600 but I digress. You're running 75 watts per sq foot.

82 degrees is not too hot. Sweet spot for me is around 80-82F and 60 RH the entire grow, lots of fans circulating air around. Fans on the bottom of the tent blowing up into the canopy.

So 82 is ok. Measure your leaf temp if you can and it's likely a little lower. Make sure you have your humidity levels up enough to match the temps. Because if you're at 82F and say 15% RH than yeah that is an issue. If you are not familiar with VPD, look into it.

If you don't want to run at 80-ish F? Dim the lights a little, not like you're short on wattage. That will help with the heat as well. 16' fan is HUGE, is it venting OUT of the room? It may also be sucking all of the cool air right through it without giving it time to cool. Try lowering the fan speed a little. Or cycling it on and off.

Link the lights. An exhaust fan in the tent or in the room? If the tent is hot but the room is cold, are you not exhausting from your tent? 82f isn't too warm, line your humidity up for VPD https://www.dimluxlighting.com/knowledge/vapor-pressure-deficit-vpd-calculator/
