-- sounds like a bit of bad luck in part,.. overwatering can smother the roots, starving them for O2, which if persists for hours, will start killing them,.. rot may set in, but meantime the damage root system isn't operating well at all, poor uptake of everything,... kind of a vicious circle to get caught in, I understand! Some drying out is mandatory, but
only up to a point, don't want to overstress and dry out what good roots remain; this can cause big pH shifts, and in heavily fed soils, drying does raise the relative conc. of nutes in there leading again to pH drifts and burning potentially... I notice that sometimes, the droopy posture doesn't fully go away even when all's good again.
flushing, not the best option mate, but that's hindsight now,.. the HF is a heavier soil, not that well draining, so what that did was water-board the poor roots all over again-
.... a little N-tox won't hurt things much unless in bloom; flushing can help reduce the load in the soil, but not the plant... N gets taken up where it's needed or not, so past a point, cumulatively, the plant can't use it fast enough or store it well, so comes the tip curling, dark greens etc.,... just mind you feeds for a bit, let the roots recover, and look into using a PK booster, something with little to no N in it....
Sooo, damaged roots,... they take time to recover; root tonics can help, inoculants, enzymes, but again the loss of live roots hampers the entire deal,.... babysitting to the finish is in order, keep her evenly moderately moist, little wet-dry flux',....
