Fast Buds Colonel's Outdoor Organic Fast Buds Strain Compendium

Hi @Colonel, what a pity! We've been discussing and thinking about your issue and we cant' tell you anything different... Apparently, we can't see any problem in your pics... Maybe has happened something out there that you haven't noticed and has stressed them enough to stop their growth...

Sorry for not being able to help you more! Maybe any AFN Master can put some light on it...

The indoor ones are fine? Where they all in the same bags?

Thanks for the reply guys. I'm out of town right now but when I get home this weekend I'll upload some more recent pics and see if you guys can see anything that may be amiss. And yes, my fast buds plant's I grew inside did quite well even though I stressed them with some n tox. They yielded almost an ounce each. Now that my soil has mellowed out the dinafem freebies are going absolutely nuts in my soil indoors. Also, all of my non-mj plants I have outdoors are going totally wild in the same soil.

What do you mean about the bags? If you're talking about the soil, it's a homemade mixture. I mixed it all together in one huge batch and put it in pots as needed.

Also I've been spraying with neem to fight pests/mites/fungus and with B.T. to prevent caterpillars. So I'm fairly certain it's not a pest issue either. I'm just really confused.

Thanks again for your time guys, maybe we can get to the bottom of this together.

Hey @FastBuds, I just had a thought today. Would consistently high humidity stunt the growth of the plants? This summer has been extremely humid in my area, like 80-90% most days. That is the only problem I can really think of. Please let me know what you think. Thanks guys.

Alright guys, I've got some pics for you. Hopefully someone can take a look at these and tell me what might be going on. Some of the leaf edges look a little burnt, but not like nute burn, I'm not sure what's up with that. Anyways, here we go.

Crystal Meth - Day 59
So this one is about a foot tall. The developing buds are nice and purple and smell delicious, they're just small. The top is all gnarled and the main stem is splitting a bit, it's like all fused together at the top and isn't really budding. I've never seen anything like it. I'm thinking I should just cut the top off and let the plant go from there, as the rest of it is totally normal. Any ideas about this one?

Blackberry - Day 48

This one looks decent, about a foot tall as well. The buds are a nice light purple/green mixture and it smells fantastic, of course. The leaf edges look a little burnt at the top though, I'm not sure why.

Green Crack - Day 62

This is one of the best looking plants, along with the pineapple express. I'd say it's around 16" tall. It has the best branch development (though it's still pretty pathetic...). It kinda smells like pez candies lol. I really can't wait to smoke this one. I'm sure it'll be fantastic. Some leaves are getting some weird spots though. I'm not sure what it is.

Pineapple Express - Day 62

This is my tallest plant, at around 17". It looks great. Smells great, kinda pineapple-y, kinda funky. Can't wait to try it out. It's got quite a bit of frost on it. Definitely the healthiest looking plant.

Northern Express - Day 48

This one is sitting at about a foot tall. The smell hasn't really started to come through a lot yet but it looks pretty good. It had a worm try to cocoon in its top when it was younger and ended up losing a branch as a result but it's okay. This one seems to have the least pest resistance, but it's still doing alright.

Six Shooter - Day 48
This is the best plant out of its group of three. Also about a foot tall, but has the best branch development compared to the other two that are the same age. It smells incredible. I feel that this one will be the best yielder of its group. It's main cola looks much more solid than the other two.

Well guys, there's my disappointment of an outdoor auto grow ha... They all look quite healthy, just stunted. I don't know what the deal is. As I said in my previous post, we have had an extremely humid season thus far, but that is the only thing that I think could be way off. They get 6-10 hours of direct sunlight each day, depending on whether or not I'm home to move them around, with 14+ hours of total light each day. I just can't figure out why they performed so poorly. Every plant I've grown this summer, mj or not, besides these six have gone totally nuts in my super soil mixture.

These are so small, I'm thinking I may be lucky to get an ounce or two out of the whole grow, which is really disappointing since I was hoping to get at least a half pound out of it to supply me for the next year... unfortunately, I'll just have to stick to my tiny indoor cab I guess. Anyone have any ideas why they didn't perform? @FastBuds, do you guys see anything in these pics that tells you something? Also, what should I do about the crystal meth? Top it or leave it alone? Please try to help me out here a little bit fellow growers... I'd like to make sure things go better next time around.

Well, that's all folks,
Colonel

Hi colonel, we can't see what you've done wrong... As you say, they look nice and healthy... Sorry for not helping more

I would be curious as to your roots situation . Poor root development leads to poor plant growth . I do not know how or why they would have been stunted. But that would be the first place I would look. As long as you meet the basics of their needs i.e.light ,water, nutrients and your pH is within range they should be a exploding in the sunlight . My outdoor FB autos were started on June 1 and are all at least 3 feet tall and they are in at least 7 gallon containers . That might make a little difference.

Irregardless what you do have looks pretty nice and I would be grateful for anything you receive. Maybe you should have your soil tested by a laboratory to find out just exactly what's going on in your medium. Good luck and stick with it . Fast Buds is an excellent company with excellent genetics.

I would not give up on Fast Buds . They are quality and stability is second to none . Just look around here at some of the other results . Some are just amazing!! Good luck brother and don't give up . Every mistake is a chance to learn.
