Lighting Cobshop.net info, questions and answers

Hi. I live in the EU. If buy the cobs is there a customs charge? What country are you in?
regards
I am from the USA and they ship from here as well. Customs fees have been much lower than I expected. I read one person paid 20 for a 4 pack of lights. Shipping is a bit higher too but with discounts and the current sale it is still a great value. I will send a pm now for some more info.

Hello! :) I am new to led growing. I've been reading about led lights for some time now and it seems that these lights are amazing.

I would use these in an environment where the heat is an issue, and I've been told that these run pretty cool? So no external cooling needed? Was thinking about using 4-6 lights in a 4x4 tent(to my understanding, an equivalent to 600-900w of hps lighting?)

Also, I heard rumors that you may be able to ship these from the UK at some point, is this true? Could avoid the 24% taxes... Sorry if this been asked earlier, I didn't see when I was browsing this thread.

Almost forgot to ask, do you ship these only with the US plug or is EU plug available?

I have a small fan on low blowing on leds it keeps them cold and when I say cold there is no heat coming from the heatsink even if a fan is not required I would still use one. From my experience it prolongs the life of the Led light

Hello, welcome to the cob zone. You are correct about these lights. They are just about the best thing to hit the autoflowers that I have seen yet.

As for heat on either 4 or 6 lights it would be much less than any hps Or close to a standard 600 watt led panel. A lot of the tents temps depends on your ambient temps. In this I mean the area around your tent and if you can install any exhaust fans. There is no need for air conditioning but heat will eventually build up no matter how cool they run. Most people that reply with feedback never mention heat besides there is very little. That's because they are low wattage and high on light output.

Yes international shipping is in full effect. I'd say just about 40% of the sales are outside the USA and a few dozen shipped to U.K alone.

Okay, that's good to know. Price from the US would be a bit too much(cobs + postage) * 1.24

How about the plug? Packets to europe has the EU plug? :)

One plant and 2 Autocobs 3500k currently sitting @18" in a GL80 2'7" x 2'7" x 5'11". I may nudge the cobs a little closer as the flowers start bulking. The trichs have just showed up, so plenty of bulking to be done here, plenty. I vouch for @BigSm0 and his product, have a look.
The strain is Auto Super Skunk from Dr.Krippling seeds, an 85+ day strain..She is at day 40 something now close to pushing 50..If let go for an extra two weeks at the end of flower, her buds gets SUPER dense.
