Lighting COB LED Lights?

These girls are under Mars COB, each COB can cover 2.5'x2.5' at most.

Yeah i got 4 roleadro 2nd gen cob and two hipergro cob i get around 2x3 out of the roleadros and 2x2 out of rhe hipergros. The light penettation with cob led is awesome and they increased my bud density.

The before and after isnt very scientific. Theres no side by side grow. They could have looked the same with the original light you never know. Even side by side grows are hard to make accurate strains have diffrent phenotypes and can vary in size and stature. Its all open to interpretation.

Im looking into buying another light to add to my 4x4x80 tent for more coverage. right now i have 3 300w Full spectrum Roledo LED panel lights and they have worked very well thus far. After doing some research i see that COB LED has come a long way and it might be the best choice for my situation. Im wondering if anybody has exsperience with COB lighting and if so what should i look for, what brand seems to have the best (Cree,Roledo,Ect.) and if i should build my own or buy one already assembled. Right now im leaning toward the Roledo 400w COB full spectrum just bc the brands been reliable and great customer service but im open to others. Any feedback will be appreciated.

I’ve just invested in the hipargero 800w light, this is a whole different ball game. What kind of distance are you using yours at? Need a bit of help dialling in this light, it’s more powerful and a lot brighter than I imagined it would be, I’m also surprised at the quality tbh for quite little money.
The only drawback so far has been keeping the temps down, I had this light 65cm away from the top of my plants and the leaves were starting to taco. Any advice greatly appreciated......

Yea the hipergro light is strong its the cree 5k lights that make all the diffrence. I keep mine around 3-4 foot away from the plants bc like you said they get light stress pretty easily. Far as temps I had to get big exhaust fans and inlet fans to cool the space but in winter it helps.

Thanks for the info, how have you found this brand of light personally? I’m guessing you don’t have the 800w version as that’s running 3k cobs, I’m hoping it’ll improve my buds.

So far so good its a good light but I wish it had more coverage. My roleadro 400w cobs cover 2× the area. But it rounds out my spectrum so it works for me.
