hey friends! hope my english is okay

i havn't started growing yet, i just want to get my knowledge and understanding levels up first before i attempt to make a piece of heaven on earth ;)

i love the idea of autoflowers and their short turn around time, i'm thinking of starting to grow one plant from a seed, and then starting to grow another plant 1 month later from another seed, so that i can have a continuous supply going, though im worried that after they have produced bud, will they die? is it possible to get a plant to produce more bud after it has been harvested?

i'd like to ask you some questions about cloning...

1) when is the best time to take a cutting from an autoflower strain to clone

2) is the best method usng a razor blade and hormone rooting gel?

3) do you have any tips or tricks for cloning?

many thanks :)

(just wanted to add that one of my concerns is i dont want to keep having to buy seeds, so is there a way i can keep cloning from females and keep the lineage going?) thanks:)

as far as im aware you can not clone an autoflower plant as there lifes are so short usualy when an autoflower is ready to harvest all the fan leaves turn yellow and the plant starts to die as all the left over life is sucked out the fan leaves and then the rest of the leaves but i could be wrong but i dont think i am :peace:

Here is something I found on another forum

"yes autoflowers can be cloned, I ave a full room of them right now. Keeping a mother though is very difficult at best. What I have done to keep that strain alive is that I just keep recreating mothers every generation. in other words, I keep cloning the clone and under 24 hour light get enough time before flowering to take another 10-15 clones each time. It is a pain in the ass though, so not really reccomended. I am doing it only because I am hard headed and wanted to prove to some around here that it could be done. If you are actually seeking a perpetual harvest situation you need to run normal strains and have 4 sets of them, clones, veg and 2 flowering at different stages of growth where you can harvest every 5 weeks with a 10 week flowering strain."

I dont see the point in going throught all that BS when you can get more seeds
I also dont see how its possible to clone an auto? regardless of the info you found Theintu id like to see more proof mabe someone to try it then post a clone log :D:D:peace: Si

I understand the seeds issue, and the need to clone...but also the lifecycle of auto's.
i suppose with perfect timing and the right strain, its possible...however,profitable is another story.
Autos stunt relatively easily in my experience, and dont really veg long enough to produce full sized plants from the clones.
If you get the timing wrong and you are into sexing it will continue flowering, then (possibly)start revegging and finally root in 2-4 weeks.
you have lost crucial grow time, and yield you probably wont recover.
my advice, get some reg auto seeds, grow them, harvest pollen from a male and pollinate your favourite pheno.
seeds for future grows and passable quality bud :)
