I don't know if you've seen the pics but there are some out there which clearly show bud and leaves growing out of the center of a fan leaf, I personally have had leaves (both sugar and fans) come out of the center of another fan leaf. I have a feeling if you take a scalpel and knick or slice the center and apply your hormones to the cut, you will get a whole plant to start from the center... Just an idea.... I'm really interested in the micro prop. so I will be following this closely! Cheers on experimenting! :dance2:

so here is an update. i just took these two pics a few minutes ago. the plants in the cups are from left to right fast bud #2 fasat bud #2 and photo- grand daddy purple.

no sign of root growth yet which is no surprise at all. what sort of rooting times are ou guys getting from autoflower cuttings put in soil with hormone? my cuttings other cuttings are taking forever to root.

the pictureof the large plant is my fast bud #2 at 30 something days old. i took the leaf cuttings from it. its sooo healthy. today i sprayed one branch with collidal silver and im about to pollinate another with afghan kush ryder female pollen.

ive seen the pics of bud growing out of the center of leaves. very cool. im not sure where the stems will come from but im guessing at the interface of the soil and the stem of the leaf, after roots pop of course. ill do some real research on this as well. i have a dwc easy cloner i made myself, i think ill be putting a few photo and auto leafs in it soon.

thanks for the feedback yall!

ive upgraded my down graded cloning box. i dont like using water which is why i got rid of my bubble cloner and down graded to soil. however they are taking to long to root (normal clones, auto and photo). i read that a humidity dome really helps so i added one even though my plants are never wilted because i spray em.

in sonoma county where i am, the temps been down to the high 50's at night lately (sooooooo freaking fantastic, i moved from flagstaff) so i also added a heating pad on medium under the clones. im also leaving the light on more.

hopefully this willl ensure faster rooting. any advice or tips on fast rooting in soil

Is it going to take a ton of time, experimenting and failures - hell yeah - but just consider Thomas Edison & the light bulb - what...some 5,000 trials before getting it right.
You mean hire Tesla or another electrical genius and steal their idea from them right?

love tesla! anyone else here ever make a tesla coil? i made one for my halloween decorations, amazingly cool.

unfortuanatley i lost the leaves from this project to fungus. i should definetly restart this experiment, sorry to let you guys down. anyone else have any luck rooting thier leafs? i still have the bap solution/gel for anyone who successively roots a leaf. i admit i start a lot of experiments and threads and then get distracted. ill start up another run today.

im breeding round up ready black aztec corn right now as an experiment. i hope to make round up ready autoflowers. got to be one step ahead anyone wanting to kill our plants! feelings on this one?

I like all the other stuff you're doin'... but this "roundup ready" shit is gonna kill us all and our seed stock strains.... IMO :2cents:

I love tesla too!!!! Yes I've made a tesla coil..... zzzzzzouch!!!!!!!!!!!!

i thought there would be some dislike of the gmo pot seeds ive been thinking about making. ill stay away from it for now.

im currently working on finding the perfect hormone that causes lodging which is when a plant grows to fast and falls over. why would i want this? well once a plant falls over it will grow along the ground. so an autoflower that grows just like a vine along the ground. that combined with webbed califlower genes (low smell) will make a suppppppppper stealth strain.

so anyone try rooting a leaf? ive gotten muchhhh better at rooting cuttings since is tarted this thread. ill use dip n grow along with some shultz rooting powder on lemon skunk photoperiod leafs, or maybe my black berry kush. ill put em in strait coco with rocks for good drainage. ill place that in the humidity dome i have my rockwool clones in.

ooooooooo speaking of rooting leafs and the growing full plants from them, i am successfully doing that with a different species. i went to the san francisco conservatory of flowers the other day to go to the wicked plant exhibit (poisonous plants soo fucking cool). i was bad and took a leaf off the Psychotria viridis they had there. this plant is very easily propigated from lead cuttings. i jsut cut it in half applied hormone and put it in coco in my humidity dome. in about 6-8 weeks it will root and send up anywhere from 1 to 8 new shoots. it also contains DMT ;)

off topic but the sf conservatory of flowers also has a huuuuuuuuuuuge salvia divinorium plant on display. again i was naughty ( i have a problem) and i removed a small cutting. its out in my dome rooting as well. i use to have a bunch of salvia but lost it in my move.

pics coming soon.

Homegrown...I tried the experiment myself when you brought it up. I did not use the bap. I also tried cloning a rock. I had better success with the rock. After placing both in the soil and waiting a week the leaf HAD started to root but nothing ever came of it. On the otherhand the rock after waiting a week had grown and there was even a twin. I'd have liked for the experiment to work but considering the time and effort it would take its just not a worthwhile process. You'd spend at least two weeks time and an unknown amount of money due to overhead to produce something that can be replaced in 3 days by planting a seed. I suppose it would be nice to say you did it but beyond that the costs are high and the benefits are few.

That's a damn cool idea on the botanical gardens thing. Never gave that a bit of thought. I know now where my next field trip will be. Haha

so anyone try rooting a leaf?

I rooted some leaves back in the 1980’s using Rootone F.
I also tried to take leaf cutting with a little bit of node where a unmerge shoot would grow from. I had the plants for 6 months and no shoot ever formed.

Good luck with your experiments.
