Humboldt Seed Organization Cliffbuds Chem Bomb Auto Micro Grow

@Cliffbuds no problem man thats how I started. I bought a small homemade kit off ebay back in 2013. It was a small dwc set-up with maxigro and maxibloom I think. And cfls lol now I'm in a 32x32 tent with 3 autocobs and 3 5 gallon fabric pots
I’m the opposite. I started back in 2011 with 2 dr90 tents, one for veg with a 125w cfl and the other for flowering with a 400w hps. Let’s just say that setup helped with the bills! Since I’ve been in this home I had a 2 x 2 box in the attic with 150w hps but I hated growing up there. I don’t use much weed these days so my lil box should keep me going. I’ve seen some good thing about those autocobs, do you have a journal on here?

Day 39. Really starting to pile it on now. I can see a change in her every time I water, which is currently every 12 hours. She’s still stretching which does concern me. One of the tops is now 2.5” away from the bulb and there’s nothing I can do. Stinks my garage up when she’s messed with.

Day 42 and I have PROBLEMS!!!!

They say you can’t overwater coco cut that’s bullshit. I’ve said the past couple of weeks about watering twice a day but after a day or 2 I stopped because I could tell she didn’t need it. However, fromday 35 I have been watering every 12 hours religiously and have noticed 2 things happening:
1. She was drinking less with the 2 waterings than when it was one every 24 hours. Went from absorbing 500ml down to 300ml - 400ml.

2. What I’ve loved about coco is dumping the water in and flooding the pot, then it’s basically falls straight through and it’s done. Nice and fast. Watering twice a day has changed to the water station on the surface longer and draining slowly.

My lovely girl has gone from being lush green with perky leaves to droopy and yellowing. Fucking gutted. It’s definitely overwatering as that’s the only thing that has changed: watering frequency.

Ive never had any problems in the past with peat based mediums but with coco all my plants have shown overwatering signs at some point. My ph is 6 in and out, root temps are golden because I have been monitoring them with a digital thermometer with a probe

The way I’m tackling this problem is not watering again until the surface coco is turning light brown from being dry. Then I’ll give her a good watering with a full strength feed of the TNT Complex (veg nutes) to help green her back up because that nutrient kept her lush before. Then it will be back to once a day watering, save the twice daily until she’s fat and really needs it or when I start washing the coco to fade her before harvest.

I am a coco rookie and the error was watering twice a day before she needed it. It’s been 24 hours since the last watering and the surface is still wet, I’ll check again in 12 hours. Might need more time after that

@St. Tom any tips please pal? I know you grow in 2 litres with coco and this watering twice a day has set me back!
hi bro you only have to feed her twice a day if she needs it and in smaller pots some need it twice a day but just lift the pot and if shes getting light feed her also they say to never let your coco get bone dry so try and avoid that and just make sure your feeding to run off

Thanks for the quick reply pal. So with the pot I’m using, I know that from bone dry it can hold 600ml of water. Last week, watering once a day 800ml getting 300ml runoff. At the time I thought I’d better start watering twice a day because it was close to the mark on dryness.

So the last 6 days I’ve been giving her 500ml every 12 hours but I’ve been getting 300 - 350ml runoff. So her water intake has dropped right down and the water takes ages to drain through the pot. I thought with coco, more runoff the better to flush excess salts away, which I’ve been keen to do as I’m feeding at full strength.

I will let her dry out another 12-24 hours then give her a litre and go back to once a day
