New Grower chopping large amounts

not sure where this would fit but...

im making bubblehash and some cannabutter in the next few days and i dont know whats best for chopping large amounts. a few ounces anyway, i think my hands would be in agony with scissors and a blender would probably powder it or at least lose alot of trics.

what is the usual solution?

If you're using buds, break them up some by hand and put them in the freezer for a few hours. Then take it out and break it up by hand. No only will it be a lot easier to break up, it also makes the trics brittle and they separate from the vegetable matter easier. A blender won't hurt either. You won't lose the trics.
