Yeah there were only thirty yesterday but I was lucky enough to catch 420's list of like the last 5. I overslept today though. Had to make a 10 hour trip yesterday and then hit a damn deer on the way back last night. It's been a rough 24 hours, hopefully today will be better, despite the rough start.

Deer can be such a pain! I've had 'em make me come to a complete stop when they get memorized by the headlights, The closest I've come to hitting one was on night this one deer came out of nowhere and all I could see was hoofs in the windshield and the bitch jumped over the hood of my truck. I have no idea how I missed it! I could just see the damn thing coming thru my windshield!
My Uncle totaled his car on the first week of new orders to SAC base in S Dakota when he hit an elk. A milkman(yes MANY years ago) came along and helped him out. He told my Uncle he help out people about once a week from them hitting elk.

I once drove from Boston to KY. Went the whole way didn't see a single bear, deer or anything. Got to about 4 miles from my house was real tired after a 14 hr drive and bumped into a big buck. Like...how does that even happen! Everyone was fine just hilarious after driving all that way just to tap a buck buck was fine he spun around laid in road for 10 mins then got up and sprinted off.going 10 mph!

Yeah, my little encounter was within 10 miles from the deer lease. I was almost always asleep when we arrived there when I was a kid. This was the first time I made the drive by myself. When I told Dad what happened the next morning he said, "I always slow to 20 mph the last 10 miles because I ALWAYS see deer along the road." I told him thanks for not telling me about that with my BRAND NEW truck! LOL!
