ok so currently have (1) 250w cfl and (4) 85 cfl's. I was looking to possibly replace the 250w cfl with 150w HPS considering it puts out about 4,000 more lumens while using 100 less watts. Now with current setup my cfls puts out some heat, with fans running my temps go no lower than 82 degrees, will the 150w hps put out more heat than the 250w cfl.

probably just as much or more but im not sure.82 degrees is just about right.
i dont know about the 150 but i have a 400 and that thing puts out some real heat, I have a 250 CFL, and that does not even come close in terms of heat, I would look into the LED if you want to avoid heat, expensive now, but in the long run a better deal i think
