Indoor CFL price increases

I just read a story this morning about a sustantial price increase for CFL's. It seems some of the key metals to manufacture these come from China. The Chinese are shutting down the processing plants for these metals to implement pollution control measures. I don't know if regular flourescents would also be affected, the article just mentioned the CFL's. Just an FYI.

China is just using that pollution control crap to corner the market on the rare earth material since 90% of the worlds supply comes from there.

A lot more stuff is going to be affected soon too.
