Captain Howdy
A Lost Soul
Howdy folks :tiphat:
I have been lucky enough to receive these two new strains from Dutch Passion in a hope that they can help ease a few of my niggles, the main of which being joint pain, chronic insomnia, depression and anxiety, these are the things which give me the most gyp so they're what I'll be concentrating on sorting out first.
I'll obviously be keeping a decent stash of flowers to one side for a good ole smoke when harvest time comes around but the majority of these first few plants will be made into tinctures, edibles, hashish and oil.
To begin with I have decided to drop one seed of each strain so I can watch them grow and get a feel for what's to come. Once I'm prepared (and my tents have thinned out slightly) I'll drop a few more.
Very excited about this grow, thank you once again for the opportunity Tony
Hope you enjoy the show folks :tiphat:

These are being grown in 1.5 litre pots just to get them started, using CFL's and BioBizz and Canna nutrients. Medium is Homebases multi-purpose compost with added worm castings, perlite and vermiculite.
ComPassion
CBD ComPassion is a Sativa dominant CBD-rich variety made by crossing a Nepalese variety with an un-named sativa. This is Dutch Passion’s first independently bred CBD variety. We have measured 6% THC and 6% CBD in this variety, the lower THC levels mean this is a useful medical variety which can be used without some of the heavy effects of THC. This can be useful for those seeking a more laid-back experience which will allow them to function well throughout the day and still have the medical benefits without feeling too high. Cannabis produced from this variety (or oils/hash made from it) should have a roughly 1:1 ratio of THC:CBD.
Although the CBD varieties have been developed primarily with medical users in mind, we get surprisingly positive feedback from many recreational cannabis users. They report that cannabis from the CBD-rich varieties gives a strong body stone, with a less cerebral impact. The overall experience for many (though not all) recreational users is very good, somewhat different to traditional high-THC pot, but just as enjoyable.
Still breaking ground, pics to come in the next few days

CBD Kush
A variety produced in cooperation with the CBD Crew. CBD Kush is a CBD rich variety with an approximate 1:1 ratio of THC:CBD. Tests have shown that CBD levels of up to 7% have been measured with a similar quantity of THC. This variety was produced by crossing a THC rich Kandy Kush selection with a CBD dominant strain. The variety has a mix of indica and sativa genetics but the growth pattern generally shows an indica dominant appearance with good yields and a satisfying flavour. Plants generally reach around 100cm tall.
This is a variety which will appeal to medical users looking for a CBD strain, but we also expect some recreational growers will be attracted to the strong body stone and the pleasurable and manageable high.
Day 1
As well as growing these high CBD strains I'm also following AFN's pH plan so over the next few months, fingers crossed I'll notice a difference from where I am now
If you've not found this yet, come and get involved.
