Can't figure what is going on with one plant...

...but whatever it is can't be good. I'll attach pictures, if I can figure out how to do so.

Details: DWC, in rockwool, lights are LED- 570 watts, total (three fixtures). Ventilation is good, aided by a fan in closet. The colors are weird in picture, because I used an old Iphone for pic, and they are taken from within the closet with LED's on. The parts that look reddish on the plant in pics are green, parts that aren't green are actually yellow, pretty bright yellow. At first I thought nute burn, but there was hardly any nutes given. Miracle grow, 10 drops in a five gallon bucket, with about 4.5 gallons of water in it. What I did find, was that the PH had shot up to 7.1. Could that cause this mess? I've gotten the PH issue under control, and the plant is seemingly recovering. Now PH is at 5.8.

One picture is the sister, growing with her, same age/nutes/ etc. Separate containers. Perfectly healthy...so far.

Any thoughts, suggestions, advise, will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Hey bobble is it possible to take pictures without the lights on?

What I did find, was that the PH had shot up to 7.1. Could that cause this mess?

yep it could.

I am not hydro guy though. PH swings can cause damage even in dirt. I am hoping one of the hydro guys can chime in for you.

Welcome Bobble
The yellowing could be from either your PH spike or some sort of deficiency
How long do you think your ph was that high?
In my experience my ph would always spike after a res/nutes change for the first day or two and then it would even out for the rest of the week. I check it three times a day during the spike period to keep it down. Once it levels out I check it twice a day just in case.

As far as any deficiency your plants may have it could be a Cal Mag issue. I had the same problem, went and got some CaMg and everything started looking healthy again.
You said you were using miracle grow and I've heard that it doesn't work that well with marijuana plants.

It could be a number of different things causing your problems but this is what I did when my plants had the same symptoms.
Some of the more experienced growers will be by soon to shed some more light on the subject I'm sure.
You should start a grow diary in the new growers section
Good luck on your grow
:peace:

Jeez after a second look at those pics it could be some serious nute burn.
Like I said it could be several things.
If you could shoot some pics with your lights off it might help diagnose the problem better.
Peace

Additional pic with the lights off.

First, thank you all for chiming in. I really do appreciate it, and can use all the help I can get!

I'm attaching a picture, maybe two, that perhaps will show the problem better. My first thought was nute burn. But I've never seen it like this, Also, the yellowing didn't start at the tips, but moved from the top of the leave to the tip.

PH may have been off for a couple of days. All I had was the drops. Didn't trust their accuracy, so now have a PH pen. IMG_1887.jpgIMG_1888.jpg

Never intended to grow, but this is a non dispensary state, leaving no option. Kind of getting into it, but I've got a lot to learn, obviously. This site has been a great find for me!

Again, many thanks,

Aloha,

Bobble

Ouch Bobble
Those pics look a bit worse then I thought.
Please wait until someone else chimes in here but I'd pull the plug on your little sickling. Even if she recovered I don't think she'd be worth the effort. Just one mans opinion though.
What strain and how old?

It may come to that. The plant was a little suspect from the get go. very spindly and never looked good in the beginning. Strain is God Bud, indicia. About three weeks since popping. I'll see how it goes, hoping there is no rush and whatever it is not a communicable disease...! I REALLY do appreciate the input!

Robwars,

You've got me thinking...The gy at the hydro store gave me some "root stimulator." It was a 2-2-2, organic additive. Told me to put a capful in. That may have been too much for such a young plant. Only used it on the one, which would explain why others not affected. Still hard to believe something that mild, in about 4.5 gallons could do that much damage!

:howdy:brv, thery could be lots of deficiency going on in there,as your plant look like it growing like my firend did befor i sorted them out,i be looking and see how your ph is,get that right fist, and make sure your nutes are right, and my firends PH and nutes was good,in the end we found out it was down to air flow,he needed to get more, air flow in hes room, and after a week hes girls are looking so good again, just a thought as i thought my firends grow room had lots of air getting in there as temp was good, but i was wrong,:peace:Kudo
