I have five autos going right now, but only four have flowered. I've been waiting forever on the fifth, but still no progress, just more veg. Can I safely switch to 12/12 without affecting the other four plants that are doing GREAT and are no more than two weeks from harvest? Or do I wait it out at 18/6, pull the other four plants when they're ready, and then switch?

No No No , the last 2 weeks are when they bulk up , leave the light alone .

Why not pull the one that hasn't flowered and put it somewhere without lights?

I was hoping that I could still get it to flower, and I don't have another lighted area to put it on its own for 12/12.

I say yes.. But my thinking is always based on bio mimicking nature. What do plants do during lights on? They photosynthesis.. Meaning they use their leaves to create and store energy... What do plants do in darkness. They use that stored energy to grow. They respire. They move nutrients and sugars to different parts of the plants. Watch any time lapse of plant growth. It happens at night or during dark hours. So the first thing I ask myself is, how can giving the plant more time to grow and use its stored energy be a bad thing? True plant or bud growth doesn't happen during lights on..

Im actually going to do a test grow journal this summer where I run autos 18-6 during veg, and once the buds are set, witch to 12/12. If you have to or need to switch to 12/12 I can't think of a better time than flower or late in flower.
