Seeing as I’m halfway through my second grow (2 plants in a 2x4 tent) and I did not have this issue with my first grow as they were done outside, I’m wondering if i can dry one in the same tent as the other one still growing? I’m assuming both won’t finish at the same time. I’d prefer to have the ventilation take care of the odor from both plants than separate unless there is some kind of problem having the drying plant in the light. If worse comes to worse I can use my second smaller tent to dry in but it is unventilated and this would mean getting a second filter and fan.

Definitely always dry in the dark. Use your smaller tent but link it to your larger one with ducting so you can use the same fan to ventilate both areas.
If you do this just remember that every bend in the ducting will severely decrease the effectiveness of your fan, so try to keep the ducting in straight lines if possible.

works like a charm you can use a cardboard box or another tent

So if I go the cardboard box route, should I close all my main tent openings? I typically keep a couple openings open to minimize the tendency of the tent from sucking in the walls too much.

So I’m thinking if I do the cardboard box with a straight shot into the big tent, then I could also create another opening into the box to create the negative pressure in the box so that the air is exchanged and the smell is evacuated through the filter.

Am i on the right track with this thinking?

Yes you will definitely need some fresh air flowing into the box. You will probably find it takes a bit of tinkering to get everything where you want it and it may change depending on the conditions in your lung room. Worth checking every now and again.
