Week: 3

Pot: 5 Gallon Fabric

Temps: Steady around 50-60 RH / 75-80F

Soil: SOHUM Living Soil mixed with Espoma Seed Starting Mix

Light: ViparSpectra XS1500 (18" Away from Canopy, 60% intensity)

Things I've added: Crystal Geyser Spring Water PH corrected with a little lemon/baking soda to 6-6.5, Stonington Blend Plant Food (6 tsps worked into top soil), Growers recharge once a week.

I read I might need to add amendments around a month if things are going slow and I put some of the Stonington Blend in, after that the plant started to get wilty/droopy and this problem started to manifest maybe 24-48 hours after. Dark patches that aren't very visible but have seemed to be turning yellowish brown as the days go by.

I also watered it with around 20 ozs between yesterday and today thinking I was maybe underwatering.

Any ideas?

You shouldn't have needed any amendments yet. In a 5gallon pot of living soil you should be able to do the entire grow or very close to it without any additional growth fertilizers.

It appears so, very deep green and copper ish staining. Use nothing but water, it may be one of those rare circumstances where a flush may be needed to save the plants, but it will remove most beneficial microbes and nutrients. Take a sample of your soil and do ph and ec tests, especially the ec test to see if the soil is very "hot" now.

Will recharge suffice to help it return to normalcy if I have to flush?

If you have to flush, then yes Recharge will help restore some of the microbes etc. If there is a general consensus that your soil is a tad hot, I wouldn't do a large flush, but rather several heavy waterings in a row and check the ec between each watering and when the ec is around .4 to .6 add the Recharge.

Sohum is built for a start to finish grow. No need for amendments really unless the plant is massive and uses all the nutrients in the soil up. It’s built for a water only. You should be watering them when they’re dry and the pot feels light.. of course with a certain ph level. 6 is sweet spot for soil I reckon. Don’t flush either because you will wash all your nutrient rich soil down the drain pretty much then they will just starve. Not to mention your ph will have mood swings lol. Just make sure ur ph is on point and check your water ppms. If they’re several hundred Ppm then there’s a chance you will cause a lock out. Just let the pots get completely dry, if they’re small plants in a big pot with soil then there’s a high chance you will cause rot from too much watering. Soil holds a lot of water. Only feed these girls when they’re dried out, and feed small amounts. This is why I start all my girls in small pots. It eliminates any over watering. Also take note that you have mixed two mediums together. Both mediums may have different ph buffers and so on.
