Photoperiod Bud's Shed - First Test Grow

That last shot is phenomenal! What strain?

It's my own strain .. an accident! Blueberry Cheese crossed with Super Skunk.
The skunk was very resinous, so I'm pleased to see that trait continue ..
The smell's superb now, a sort of fruity sweet cheese smell, you can just pick out the blueberry, but the cheesy skunk aroma's dominating for sure.
A very smelly plant. :smoking:

I have a shitload of seeds, all feminised too ... female x female hermie ... and no signs of hermie-ing with the offspring. A bit of a nice unexpected result really.

@Powerful14 .. I'm keen to find out where you read about chillies and spider mites, dude.
I've got 3 dried red chillies just waiting to be unleashed, but need to know strengths etc, ... can you help me put some more meat on the bones?

Weekly update ...

Could-do-better.jpg

Hardly any 'stretch' .. a result of the timer issue methinks? Was hoping for some more growth ...

Oh well, it is what it is ..

Another few weeks left at least, so I'm still hopeful ..
The spider-mite damage has limited itself to just the one plant .. I haven't treated it yet, I want to see if the plant can deal with it on her own ..

Mite-resistant.jpg

It's there if you look closely .. mite just get away with it..! boom boom.

Meanwhile, the mainliners are starting to fill out again ..

Bushy-mainliners-again.jpg

So, time for some more surgery then ..

Left the fourth one ... looking good on just the eight potential colas ..

Right then, bong beer bed ..! :greencheck:

Doesn't time fly? ...
Strange expression eh? It doesn't possess wings, and it always goes at exactly the same speed.

'Mainliners' have been stuck in the same pots for ages now, so hand root-pruning time ..
Sharp scalpel downwards all around the rootball, about an inch or two apart, rip the strips off and then trim the base .. I did it by hand, but only because I know Kung Fu.

Bravery in the wake of success, I might add ...

It does work fine if the plant's old enough, and tough enough.

Meanwhile, we're sitting patiently at week seven in the love room ..

Stinks. :headbang:

Here's where I'm at with the 'mainliners' ...
All four are around 3 months old now.

This one's got her own ideas about 'level canopy' .. she's been topped 4 times but hasn't been root-pruned, showing stretchy growth now with longer inter-nodal spacing than the others ..

Mainliner-1b.jpg

This one looks the best, ironic considering this one was the one I originally thought I'd fucked up! ... she's got 8 cola-sites, only been topped 3 times and hasn't been root-pruned ..

Mainliner-2a.jpg
Mainliner-2b.jpg

These two both got root-pruned .. bushier lower-growth, not so stretchy, short inter-nodal spacing ..

2xRoot-pruned.jpg

The second one under the root-knife, this one suffered because I forgot to soak the roots first in seaweed extract ..

Pruning-shock.jpg

Didn't slow her down though ... new shoots appearing all over.
So, somehow, I've ended up with four very different-looking plants, even though they all got practically the same treatment at roughly the same time ..

4xMainlinersAllDiff.jpg

Only another fortnight and then they'll be going in the oven !!

On a bum note, this is the damage caused by the little spidermite bastards ..

Mite-damage.jpg

Plant has toughed-it-out tho' and it looks like I'm nearly home and dry now, albeit a bit yield-stunted.
The other three are fine.
This is day 54 ...

Turned the lights off to get some idea of colour ... this is at 9 weeks now ... mainly green and white ..!

A bit of a trichome party going on there ... :headbang:

BBC-at-9-weeks.jpg

Looks a lot more in the photo than there actually is ... maybe no more than 10/12 ounces total ... but what there is looks very nice and I can't complain.
Well, yes, I can actually .. bloody timergate. Coulda been a whole lot more.

Next lot, I promise myself. And things are looking good so far in the waiting room ...

Waiting-room.jpg

Spent most of the good sunny weather digging, chopping, cutting, bagging and shifting ...

New-auto-plot-ready.jpg

New outdoor plot mostly done. Some more digging and a compost-heap relocation .. job done.
That top right corner is the garden sweet-spot, gets sunshine all day from early morning until late afternoon in the summer months ... needs to be put to better use methinks.
I've got a shit-pile of autos to go in here .. a right mixed bag.
