Newbie here harvesting my second grow and I found some pretty hefty bud rot, luckily on only one of the 4.
Is it safe to harvest the rest of the plant that is free of visible rot, or do I toss the whole thing?
Not something to mess around with, especially when it will be ingested. Why take the chance? Is it safe to harvest the rest of the plant that is free of visible rot, or do I toss the whole thing?
Thanks for the quick replies. I found an article on leafly.com that says it's ok to remove the infected area and save the rest. However with the amount I found on the main cola, I think I will let her go. RIP White Crack, you were too dense for your own good :'(

How much wind is to much wind. I have a fan turned around blowing at the wall instead directly at my plants because I felt bad for the girls getting so much wind the whole time. Even with an oscillating fan, it was allot of direct hits.hey....before the next run commences, get yourself more fans to blow across main colas. Circulation for the win!!
By the way this is great, thanks for the picturesI think letting her go is a safe bet. It's not always easy to spot a minor mold infection on less effected areas - it doesn't always turn grey and mushy!
If you need to be sure if any other areas are affected , you can get a jewellers loupe or magnification device and closely inspect the buds.
Trichones look like balls on stems

And mold looks more like Spider Webs or Candyfloss.

Hope this helps!

Start off with fan blowing from very beginning and they will toughen up to it. Think about outside air, they can withstand some strong gust. I'm running 4 fans in a 6x8 and all on high blowing at plants from top down. How much wind is to much wind.
