Brother Mendel's Selections Midwest Widow Q4 2021 Grow-and-Show!

Still no green peeking from mine as of this morning.....Composing a apology letter to Brother Mendel for killing his seeds in my mind just in case.....nothing from the wife's 2nd batch of passion fruit seeds either so looking like I did a screwup somehow...A few more days of crossed fingers then I'll have to diasect the cubes to view the tails for any growth after placement.

WE HAVE LIFE… Twins even… this will be day one of my showing of Midwest Widow! Soil in solos is promix premium moisture. Babies are in the nursery under my DIY mini QB ( description in my profile) at 4000k lights on 24/0 prob til 10-14 days old then will be transplanted to the 5 gal SIP buckets. Will be using Megacrop, and bud explosion. MC throughout and BE in flower.View attachment 1376131
Lights in the big house are 2 kingbrite QB 288 240w and a Mars hydro ts600 in between them. 6” extractor, 12” oscillating fan. Tent ATM is at 61%humidity/75 degrees Fahrenheit. Runs pretty steady there til winter hits then will add a small personal ceramic heater to maintain temps as tent is in a basement.

Looking good! Man, I love seeing those thicc stems.

She's got legs, and she knows how to use them. :D

Bill you in this? Interested in your slurry buckets lol the Asian turned out beautiful
Yeah, I'm in on this one. I got my two seeds for this run.
I've gotta pick a replacement for the one that was going in the Earthbox. I'd use one of the other testers, but I don't think either is going to be big enough to take full advantage of the EBs fully.

They found the light today! One more day in the seedlin sip set up and small light before I transfer one to a 5 gallon sip and the other to a solo cup. Want to see the comparison between the two containers with the same seeds.

Day 1 Soaked in H20/H202
Day 2&3 In damp coffee filter/ baggie
Day 3
First impressions: Definitely the smallest seeds I've germed. Despite that, they seem healthy.
Normally I would plant directly in the sip. These I'm going to put in a coffee cup for a bit to see how they do. Unless they really take off, I'm probably going to put them in a smaller sip. For now They are going into 12 oz cups with Coast of Maine seed starter mix and filtered water.
All for now, D

Day 6 : 10/10 Nothing really to report, second set of leaves coming in. I've added nothing beyond the initial presoak and the environment is holding steady at 75f/75rh, bumped the light to 25% still running 24/0 but planning to change to 18/6 on day 8 the start of week 2.
