Broad mite russet mite control thread .

Hello friends many of us face challenges in our growing of cannabis but what I'm going to discuss today is one of the worse things a grower could ever experience .I have easily over time beat every bug back without a problem using organics that was until my outdoor crop got hit with russets an broads an eventually made it to my indoor an that's where we are here today.Most sprays chemical or organic are ineffective I'm going to show what works .I will be using organic methodology on my plants. I will be using a few not so documented techniques .There are not to many threads with accurate information this will change that .In this thread you will see me fighting broad mites opposed to threads where people claimed they beat em using methods that aren't effective an more or less advertising there favorite spider mite spray assuming it would work on broads or russets when in reality most spider mite sprays will not affect a broad or a russet .

I often have considered just letting my grow go cold but the eggs can overwinter for years so that's not an option after losing plant after plant seedlings attacked since birth I have decided to spend my days in the scholarly pursuit of ways to stop a pest very little is known about that is possibly due to the fact testing what works hasn't really been researched on a schedule 1 drug .I will do the research myself with extremely limited funding like practically non existent funding but hey you gotta work with what you got .

Yes Archie that's for sure an I will beat em an in this thread I will have tips for others an some new techniques an hopefully I will be able to save another grower hundreds of dollars I have spent so much money based on false claims on forums an I don't have money but now have tons of spider mite or insect sprays that the broad mites an russet laughed at .

Recently been doing a 3 tablespoon to gallon sulfur spray make sure to constantly shake or mix this stuff its famous for clogging sprayers do not use oil products neem ,green cleaner ECT its not good to use with sulfur I will be using a mix of nuke em on some days but will be rinsing off with plain water .These sprays an most sprays are hard on plants .

Now when your spraying well lots of the over spray hits the soil it can't be helped an most stuff will break down in soil but still how great is it really to spray on soil .So what I do is I take in this case my son's cut off pant leg an use it to cover the soil as I spray the plant gets hit an the soil stays dryer here's an example with a small seedling.

So far no new damage an the seedlings that were started with sulfur treatments look pretty good .I have 2 friends who used to grow before these bugs I will probably tell them about the sulfur they only thing is you have to stay vigilant an spray an clean an spray an clean it's a lot of work an I lost tons of seedlings an plants spent hundreds of hours researching an a good portion of the info on forums is false .The real gems of info can be found in acaroilogy reports an studies done by colleges .Spidermites used to be something that scared growers but now after years of research an people fighting them lots is known broads an russets will be there in time right now its the dark ages an light is needed .

Like an idiot I used some old soil t hat had been used my lost plants believing an old study that said broad mites wouldn't survive I n organic matter this is not true I got them again but the positive is the work i did with the grow helped keep them out.So it's going to be pressure washing mats washing walls with green cleaner pots walls .Spraying clones with sulfur an ice cold water .M y seedlings are growing great so I do believe the clones would be growing great as well if transplanted into fresh soil .Any way 2 clones are growing ok an t h e other 2 are looking better every day .

Hey @dankstyle J I’m getting in on this thread.

The past few weeks I’ve noticed real tiny clyinder shaped yellowish brown bugs on both of my girls. Almost too small to see with the naked eye. Pretty sure these are russet mites and please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

Can you please walk me through which sulfur product (links?) you used and what concentration for the sprays you’ve been doing to combat these lil critters?

Luckily friend it's not broad or russets they are way to small to see with the naked eye an once they're damage is found its insane how quickly they destroy a crop within days nice looking plants become brown messes .I was not able to rid my indoor set up of them an was very depressed about this but have found the only way to kill them is through heat treatments of 115_125 degrees .I just recently noticed damage in my greenhouse but after a heat treatment it definitely slowed .I mix my sulfur in water making a slurry first it must be mixed well or it will clog your sprayer I use a chemical sprayer that has a battery an basically an atomizer sprayer an I hit them hard .This an using a puffer of diamatous earth will stop most bugs dead in there tracks the plus side is its 100 % organic .
