Breeding fem pollen whit photo

Hi

i am new to breeding and Will try to make a new auto strain, i try to make some fem pollen from Blue automazar whit C silver
will then polinate a Photo DNA Tangie to get the orange taste in a auto will the seeds make 100% Photo plants? if so what do i do NeXT if i find a orenge pheno in the f1 can i polinate it whit the same fem pollen i use before to get auto plants?

Yes. they should all be photoperiod plants in the f1 generation. They will all be het (heterozygous) for the autoflowering gene tho. Which means that if you cross two off the offspring together, one fourth of THEIR offspring (f2) will be autoflowering.

If you cross the f1 with the autoflower pollen, it will give you half photos that are het for the auto gene, and half auto's.

You are probably better suited inbreeding the f1's, and using the 1/4 autos in the f2's because those will still be 50/50 each parent. If you go the other route (backcrossing to the auto), your offspring will be more like the original auto than the Photo DNA Tangie.

Im on the Same Project but i wouldnt use Fem Pollen for the First Generation. Get a Regular Breeding Auto so You can go with Males and Females. This will end up in way more stable Plants. Im breeding the F1 Generations of my Kinkydawg(Kinky Cheese x Mephistos Chemdogging) and Kandy Dawg(dnas Kandy Kush the Spear pheno x Mephistos Chemdogging). And also be on the making of the f1 of Dnas Lemon Walker x Chemdogging. I will do the Femming process in the f4 Generation so everything is Stable enough.

Why do you say that fem pollen would cause less stable plants?

Because thats a Fact. Regular Seeds will always give you more Stable Plans.

Unstable as in more phenos or more risk for hermas?

Can i do it like this first polinate the Tangie whit the fem pollen from the BAM then find the one i like in the f1, then make fem polllen on it and make seeds on the same plant, then find the plant in f2 i like whit auto gene and do the same?

Unstable in the way of that it looses a lot of the vigorous Growth. Why you shooting yourself into fem Pollen when You Just Started to get into the Topic Breeding. Yes YOu can do the shortcut by using Fem Pollen but this is not the way to go when you want to breed a Stable Plant. Best example look at Greenhouse Seeds they do it like YOu want to do and their Strains you get 10 Diffrent Plants from a Pack of 10 seeds from the Same Strain. Every Second Baby is a Mutant or not able to Survive the first Week or two. If you want to do something good to your breeding start with the Fems at f3 or f4 Generation. Btw if sou breed with Fems there is no F1 F2 F3 then its called S1 S2 S3 as its a Selfed Polyhybrid.

I disagree. I don't believe using female pollen has anything to do with stability of phenotypes and vigor. It just means (if reversed using colloidal silver) that it came from a female plant, that had it's ethylene production inhibited, and therefore, made pollen sacs instead of calyxes and pistils. The genetics aren't changed.

The reason seeds from a lot of breeders have several different phenotypes, is not because they are "feminised". It's because they weren't inbred for enough generations, if at all. You can find the problem in both regular, and "feminized" lines.

Simply using female pollen does not automatically imply that you are selfing the plant and creating S1's. Selfing the plant to create S1's is an option, but you can also take female pollen from a plant, and cross it with a different plant, and create F1 hybrids. In fact, if anything, those F1 hybrids should show an increase in vigor, regardless if the pollen that made them is male or female.

Oh then i was reading into worng topic with the S1 stuff. I thought S1 is the first Generation of a Cross with a reversed Female. My Fault Mate. But it is indeed prooven that Femming steals the Plant a certain Ammount of Vigor and Stabilty. Im Familar with a lot of Breeders and i always here the same from them bout feminizing Seeds. Another example is why are some of the Best Breeders in the World never releasing their Stuff as Fems and alot of Medical Growers ect go back on Regular Beans. Subcool once mentioned some Stuff bout feminizing Seeds in a Interview or Weednerds episode where he explains why they are loosing Vigor and Stableness.
