What are the main things to consider when making the choice to reverse a plant? I mean besides favorable traits, are there any considerations to be made when deciding which plant to reverse? Let me try to clarify my question. If I had a choice to do a cross working with 2 or 3 strains of autofems, what should I take into account when choosing which plant/strain to reverse with the CS?
Are there certain things that Mothers pass on or Fathers pass on to the F1's? Just trying to figure the path of most success.

With photos you can cut clones and flower some to see how the buds will turn out so it makes selecting easier. Just choose the one that has the traits you want.

Autos are harder to select for reversal. Just choose the healthist looking fastest one. if it has a nice smell or starts growing trichromes thats always a plus too.

So if I were to cross say plant A with plant B, there wouldn't be any criteria that would suggest I reverse plant A to pollinate plant B or vice versa? And I suppose, along those lines, if I were in breeding (plant A x plant A) for a seed run it really wouldn't matter which plant I reversed?

Nope if your doing proper selection it will end up the same no matter which plant you reverse. The key is selection. If you want a plant that smells and tastes like plant A but grows like plant B than you have to make sure your only breeding the plants with those traits into further generations. It can take a lot of trial and error but it takes time to breed a decent strain. Good luck

have quest i have several different auto strains.. and want some seeds from all the different strains.. could i just reverse one strain and then pollinate the rest of the strains with same pollen.... what would happen.

Youd end up with a bunch of different hybrids....

Another thing to consider, with autos, you dont know what you parent is going to be like, at the time you decide to reverse, BUT you can reverse only one or two branches. Do that on several plants and by the time they produce pollen, you should know which of the plants would be the best donor, then just cut the branches off the ones you dont want pollen from and discard them. I wouldnt consider this a newbie technique, and Ive never done it myself, but it can be done.

i thought auto x auto=auto.... no matter which strain i use as long as they are fem. I could use the pollen on any strain...

Yes they will be auto
