Breeding Auto Landraces/Old Ibl's

I don't know about the rest of you, but Id really like to see some auto landrace strains, particularly indica's.

Seems like most auto breeders are focusing on breeding dutch hybrids into their auto strains, but I'm sure there is a market for auto's bred into ibl's and landraces...
for eg. there are some great Afghan IBL's coming out of Cali emerald triangle that grow bit too big and late maturing for colder climates, auto versions would be the answer, preserving the old skool aroma's and stones of these strains in 3ft auto plants would be highly desirable.

Hoots has been breeding Lowryder into Malawi and others,
Mossy's Durty Dragon is half deep chunk (more ibl than landrace)

Is anyone else out there working with auto landrace's and what are you thoughts on this?

i've been hooked on the idea of some auto hazes and thai's as well as auto deep chunk, chitrali, nepali, but just for myself and a buddy. i've never given auto's a second of my time untill recently when i decided auto's could be the answer to some outdoor problems here. shortly after that i managed to talk my buddy irish pride into giving autos a shot with me.

AFNs seed store is already rocking auto hazes and Thai Haze courtesy of LBH LBH Seeds - Automatic Seed.
yes and they look like great offerings, i think irish is even growing some this year. but i'd rather start fresh and work the line to be what i want it to be. theres nothing like enjoying something you created yourself. i've got lots of time to work them into what i want and theres no pressure to get it done since im only planning on making them for myself and a friend rather than a commercial release, my fan base is more into photo's with purples and kushes and diesels. i just want to grow a ton of autos outdoors to keep me in stash while breeding my gear indoors and i'd love to to a field of micro hash plants for a big hash run. figure auto sativas for the head and auto indicas for the hash. with my climate the only way i can grow long flowering sativas outdoors is if they auto and start flowering early in the season. dont care if it takes 20wks from seed to harvest as long as its mature and gives me that sativa vibe.

I have for a few years been working with a IBL of Guerilla Gold #3 F9 Canadian acclimatized strain. For me it has added great hybrid vigor to other photo strains while consistently dropping the finish dates by 2-4 weeks. With a bx to GG it can drop finish dates of strains like Afghani from end of october finish to beginning of sept or even end of aug. Working with any IBL is a smart and easier way to breed.

Auto landrace.... hmm can you name a few that are F6+.... breed outside? Thats a tall order. I know Mossy breeds outdoors.... I know there was canadian Mighty Mite F16 around for years outdoor breed...

They have two auto landraces.

Pardon the nooby question but what exactly are the implications of breeding outside? Does it just mean the subsequent strains are better adapted to growing outdoor?

Those are not landraces those are a landrace crosses... Thats very poor advertizing.

You must grow a strain and breed it outside for at least 3 generations before it becomes acclimatized to you individual climate...

You don't get auto land race strains because they would be pure ruderalis and therefore have extremely low cannabinoid content and very little yield. Seed companies don't sell them because people will not grow them for the purpose of growing bud, just for breeding. People who are breeding will not be buying more seeds and the company would also be providing competitors with their breeding stock and breaking down the barrier to market so to speak, which is one of the appealing factors for a seed co. to breed/sell autos. So in short, it makes no business sense whatsoever to sell auto landraces.

If you're referring to my comment being very poor advertising then I must say I do not appreciate that. I was not advertising anything, just trying to help and seeing that I just misunderstood your question, you could have just corrected me.

autoflowering hashplant , autoflowering lambsbread , autoflowering maui waui <------- in the works by ALBUNDY...

breeding outdoors will climatize the seeds to your area, many seeds that are bought from seedbanks are climatized to another place in the world ( if it was even climatized at all, alot of breeders seem to do strict indoors ) so if you do a self polination outdoors of a specific strain it should climatize , people have had sucess with one generation only but sometimes it takes a few generations to climatize
