Indoor Brain Storming on upcoming Portal Gear run

ou are using led's correct? how much heat do they generate on their own?

Yes I'm using 2 Mars units (1 x 600w classic and 1 x 98 reflector), at a guess and what I've seen with lights off then on, they add about 7-10c degrees, its not much really. I'm about to go COB LED with passive heatsinks, I have no idea how much or how little heat that's gonna add, not much I'm guessing.
With LED you are having to add heat into the environment if your growing in a cold space.

I had figured with using leds of why you had to add heat in. Im thinking that maybe when summer rolls around i can get an led or, or maybe a cool tube to help out with the crazy heat from the hps with the open wing.
What type of insulation are you using on the outside of the tent? looked like the thick panels.

,

Its the silver foil backed insulated board, a mix of 100m / 50mm think sheets and pieces...it can be pricey stuff but if you have any friends who work building sites this stuff is just left lying around most of the time :yeah: ( I used to work on site, wish I still did now I have a groom, could have built it for nothing)... I did get a deal out of my brother (he had just boarded his loft out) and I got this lot for nothing :woohoo1:

I can't recommend it enough, it amazing. The only thing better is the green super dense acoustic rock wool used for sound damping and bass traps in recording studio's, but that stuff is silly money...about £80-£100 for 50m thick sheet the same size at the silver back ones.
