Indoor BoogNelson's perpetual journey

I’ve only dry trimmed after hanging the entire plant with fan leaves removed. Works well for me I haven’t any hay taste or smell.
I havent tried removing all the fans method yet. I may try it with the white crack. how long are yours taking to dry? Im on day 7 now. And prolly will be around 9 or 10 for this one..think last one was 9.

Cool! I have always wondered about dry trimming, but it seems like it would be so much harder with the leave do curled into the buds. I can see why they may be better result, though. Nice work!
Believe it or not it was pretty easy trimming. i was skeptical because that reason. If it was a tedious job it i wouldnt do it again. im just too busy mosy the time to spend on trimming this time of year. Unless we get alot of rain i get home at 11 at night and awake at 5am til thanksgiving here.

Definitely gonna try it one of these days. My issue is that I need to use my cabinet to dry when I hang to control temps and humidity. I am usually too anxious to get to my next grow to even wait a week! That is the main reason I use paper bags, plus I like the little quicker cure I get. Like FA, I cut off the fans before I hung though. I have read that the fans folding over the buds and drying creates an even more pungent smells. I was just worried about the trimming, but based on what Boog is saying, I might try!

Pungent smell as in good or bad? I did like the paper bag method. It just seemed to take the longest. i cant really say anything bad about any method ive done except when i wet trim and just hang dry it does taste like hay. how much do you put in one bag when drying at a time? Do you just line the bottom of the bag or add more than that?

Pungent as in great! They say the fan leave s protect the buds, so when it's remove s the bud shots are exposed to air for the first time and smell is enhanced.

I layer golf ball sized buds on the bottom of each bag. Just one layer per bag.

This past grow I just put em in jars untrimmed and did a little at a time. Seemed to work fine. I used the little RH monitors from Amazon for like 10$ in the jars to watch the RH. I found myself rushing through it after 2-3 hours missing sugar leafs and cutting too much bud off lol.

Just put on some tunes and smile that it’s all yours! Fresh delicious sticky goodness!

That's a good idea. Jar 'em up and trim as I get to each jar. Less tedious that way.
