Bomb Seeds Bomb Seeds & Bear 88s - Welly Boot Challenge

It seems I am a little late to the party. Two quick questions...

Is it too late to join this?

Will the material of the boot leach into the soil or plants? Id be worried about smoking the chemicals of the rubber processing.

Howdy.
Pick a fast strain and have at it. Sometime in Feb is the final submission date. It's somewhere near the beginning of the thread.
As far as leeching of the boot material. Dunno. I see a lot of people growing in home depot buckets and the likes, all non-food grade plastic. Can't be worse than than. Or can it.........

After reading, people grow in tires. This is fine as long as the tire doesnt start to break down. If it starts to break down, then some of the chemicals can leach. So, as long as you are not using a welly from the 70's it should be good to go.

Drop a seed in a boot and join the party  :hothot:
Closing date is end February so you still have time, just do an Auto with a quick 8-10 weeks turnaround.
I don't think leaching from the boot will be a problem, not with proper drainage.
