Biotabs for my next grow ?

You are not going to regret that!! Combined with any lightmix and an Autopot system and you can't go wrong.
Do put a tap on the watertank to regulate the flow as I had some isue with that a while ago. This resulted in my soil being to wet and that's a nono

I have a good feeling with this type of growing !
However I don't have autopots, I will hand water only... hope it'll work well too !

Do you think it's a good idea to use worm casting with the biotabs line ?
I know that they have a compost tea, but @TheMongol found out that the quality is no longer there...
I plan to start a home worm composting for my outdoor (vegetables) garden, hence my question :smoking:

@Bob's Auto's I know I asked a question about soaking the soil or not prior to panting seedlings.

I still don't know what to do : some say wet the entire pot a week before planting, others just add water the day before planting.
In Biotabs manual they don't soak the pot at all ! They just add water + products just after the planting...

I'm confused and as I'm a few days from planting (I hope germination will work) I really need to know what I should do !

Use the worm casting you make to add to compost tea.

First of all, sorry for the late reply, but you know...life...
Why wouldn't it be. It's all organic. The worm castings add loads of good stuff to an already active soil. I would do it

The sooner you activate (add products + water) the soil the better in my opinion, but you do have to look after that soil as if it had plants growing inside it. ie, keeping the soil wet, but not to wet. And that is the answer to your question. You make 1L solution with the Bactrex and water that in the soil, trying to divide it over the surface. This would be enough for an 8.5L pot to get your soil wet enough (*), but for example a 20L pot would need more water.
You wouldn't want to overwater your soil as it will get to acidic, your bacterial colonies will die off leaving a anaerobic environment where only bad things can happen so here's a tip. * Take a scoop of soil from the soil. If you can squeeze it together with your hands without water running between your fingers, but it does hold it's shape after letting go the soil is perfectly watered. If water drips out it's to wet and the above explanation applies.

Use the worm casting you make to add to compost tea.
Great advise. I'm currently throwing loads of banana peals in the bin. Hopefully giving me a nice PK boost for next years soil mix.:d5:
