I will vouch for the Mi5 for yield and potency. Just recently pulled a 3.7 oz Mi5
WOW,
Now that is a great yield off of an auto. I have 5 MI5 going right now, though one is a dwarf due to my on incompetence. The other 4 are doing great, and are so easy to grow. I have 2 that are growing in 16oz Styrofoam cups, for the party cup growoff, and 2 tier planted, in a 20oz Styrofoam, on top of a 1 gallon mayo tub. All are still growing strong.
Here they are at day 15 under 96 watts of T5 flourescent.

They have started budding today, at day 18. :jump: All five are female, and even the dwarf was showing female. I was so happy when I saw those little hairs, instead of nanners.:hump: Though I was hoping to do a seed run, and the only pollen I have, is for my photo strains. But that said, five females from 5 non-feminized seeds is awesome. Especially when they were freebies from Dope-seeds. I will be putting them under 400 watts of HPS, this weekend, for the rest of the grow. I will be buying more MI5 seeds soon, that is if I enjoy smoking the strain as much as I enjoy growing them.

Hope you enjoy her bro, she has been a hit around my neck of the woods. The high is pretty rounded starts off heady and moves to a body stone, at least for me. Smell is kinda fruity to.

Cool,
She sounds like she is right down my alley. I love a fruity flavor in my weed, and the way you described the high, is perfect for my medical needs.

its not about potency lol I asked about yield,

I see your point, but if you are growing (to me atleast) yield shouldn't be much of a concern. Not that you care, but, I prefer many small plants over a couple of larger ones. Potency/effect and taste are my main goals. I grow several strains at the same time so I have a variety of herb depending on what I need it for. Some for mood enhancement, some for anxiety, some for pain and some for insomnia.

There is no way a single "best yielding" plant will fit the bill for everything. If my plants don't yield what I need; I just grow more. It really is that simple. If you are used to having mids and brick weed, they you just might be blown away by what else is out there. It's like wine - if you are used to drinking it out of a box, then you might be impressed when you try a bottle that would cost half your paycheck - the taste is amazing. Same thing for scotch and cigars. You can drink it from a plastic bottle and smoke a cigar that comes in a wrapper, but nothing beats a fine 18+ year old single malt and a fine Cuban or Dominican cigar. So why not have your weed the same way if it all costs the same. Why grow ditch weed just because it yields more when you can have a fine, amazing herbal medicine for the same cost; just grow two to get even more yield than the other single plant.

If you can't yield what you want off one plant; grow two. Most likely it will all take up the same space, an now you have some variety in your stash jars! But loading up on one strain almost seems counter productive. I would focus more on the atributes you like in a strain more than yield. But hey, if you like a strain and its is a good yielder - then it might all fall into place for you. But having your cake and eating it too might be difficult unless it's your birthday. Good luck on your search and happy growing!

P.S. - The yield is really only as good as the grower. So take that into consideration as well. A mid yielding plant thats easier to grow may give more yield than a great yielder thats difficult to grow.

deimos from budda seeds ive seen grow huge too, look at 215 medicineman grows he pulls sum nice yeilds off his:bong:

What about mi5 running under 7000 lumens of CFL
2700k
5 gallon pot
one plant,
4 square foot.

Hey man, I agree with what you said, I dont mean to just grow one strain, just looking for a few diff ones, I am going to grow one, and start another 1 month later and so on, and I have smoked a sht ton of good ass street bud, but how are autos compared to reg photoperiod seeds, and how are autos compared to good off the street?

Sorry, just new to growing.

I think autos got a bad rap in the begining, but now I can't notice a diference between photo and auto strains as far as taste, potency, etc. As far as your questions - well, it all depends on your growing skills. The genetics are out there, so you have the ability to grow better than anything you bought on the street. You can easily dwarf the best bud you have ever smoked by growing your own - even most autos! I would recommend doing some searching and find some strains that have been worked over real well. There are new super autos out, as well as auto hazes - they look like they get pretty big and should be large yielders. If you want good yields in an auto - check out the super autos by Stitch - specifically Chaze. They do take longer to grow, but but if thats what you are looking for, try it out. Also - have you seen the e-store here? Mossy has some strains, but also LBH who has the Hazes. I've never grown any them, but I'm sure we will start to see some reviews pop up here ina month or two.

But back to your yield question. My needs are different - I like small plants with quick turnaround. Each plant gives just over an ounce in 2 months. Grow 6 perpetual and you get 3 oz/ a month. I mainly make edables and concentrates and am not a heavy user, also I grow solely for my own personal use - so your needs might be different. Large yielders take longer to grow and get taller/take up more space. They also get lanky/stretchy and need to be tied down or LST'd. If you do some quick math, a plant that yields 4 or more ounces is great, but it takes almost twice as long to grow, and takes up a lot more space. If you run into some growing problems (nute issues/burn, pests, heat problems, etc.- or god forbid rippers outdoors) you just lost a lot of time and effort if your ladies get stunded or worse....die. With small autos, there is not as much risk, or it is easier to mitigate.

I grow outside and have two 3'x2' beds used for cultivation. I run 6 autos in one area and 1 photo in the other. The low yielding autos give an annual harvest of just over 3 lbs. The other large yielding photo gives just over 1 lb per year (if I'm lucky) and I have to wait all year for it. Albiet I'm outdoor and you are most likely indoor. But you can see by the math that the lower yield plants work better for me. Fresh herb all year round as well!

Take some time to figure out yield vs time to grow as well as space requirements. Calculate it out and see what works best for you. My recommendation is to find your great yielding strain and grow it, but don't hesitate to run some smaller strains with quicker turnaround and experiment. You might just start to become a connoisseur without even knowing it. Let us know what you go with, as I'm sure others have the same question as you. And remember - theres nothing wrong with wanting a high yield strain. I just wanted to show another side of the story. Welcome to the wonderful world of growing. You may experience some problems as you get started but don't get frustrated - we all went through it. Just keep asking questions here and there are always people willing to help out.

I have done a lot of homework myself and would also recommend Mi5 just from the reviews I have seen as far as yield. It is on my list to grow - damn shame Dope-Seeds stop shipping to the US! But first ask yourself this - what are you looking for as far as effect? Sativa, indica, etc. Using it for medical or recreational use. Personal grow or growing for others or for profit? I think these are good things to think about before you make a decision. Have you already bought your supplies? Just asking.......

I don't mean to offend anyone or sterotype, but if you are a recreational user who is only used to buying whats on the street - you just opened up a new universe to yourself when you start to grow. You haven't even touched the surface of the world you are about to enter. It is a beautiful world and you will spend a lifetime taking it all in. Get ready for the fun you are about to have!
