I have two different autos that I plan on growing outdoors after the cold dies off. Never grew before and see that autos are supposed to be easier? I dont know what exactly I'll need. I was told i could just get soil and let them grow but wont thay effect the yeild in the end ? All advice given will be greatly appreciated

imo autos until your familiar with their growing are not easier man,and outside it makes the job harder.thats why a good deal of autos are geared for indoor climates really.or very good conditions outside which we all know aint typically excellent weather all the time.they are a funky bunch of wierdness sometimes.you can research a little to give you an idea is tomato gardening in organics.i think thatll give you your best chance. or simple soil n a basic fert or two n try it out.

Yeah they seem like a pain. I was reading all over the net. Got tired of looking then i came across this forum. Hopefully i can get some advice. I have auto purple and silver widow strains. Cant really find much about them online. Im completely confused on the nutrients part lol

I think it's definitely worth a shot. Autoflowers were my first grow. I abused them so much after 5 months they still weren't flowering. I bought a tent with HPS and finished them in there. I thought auto's were worthless. 2 years ago I grew some easy and speed ryders in my greenhouse. Left them completely alone besides feeding and watering. From 3 plants I got 99 grams! Good bud also, indoor looking nugs and resin, great flavour. But the high was a bit short and dull. It was the best looking bud I've grown outdoor but not the best overall. This year I'll give it a try with some new generation auto's(autoxtreme, think different, starryder, dinamex, mephisto express) hoping the even more diluted ruderalis will have less of an effect on the high.
Regular outdoor seeds my first year I yielded 125 grams, second year 230 and last year 310 grams from one plant. All very pleasant quality. Not as potent as the ryders but overall better weed. If you grow organic and flush well you can have a good time smoking just the leaves(been there...) Get some outdoor seeds from femaleseeds.nl, plant them in a large container and don't fiddle with it too much :) or get some of the new auto seeds and do the same but in a smaller container

I've seen people fail with normal strains because they delayed flowering so much through overfeeding or what not(too close to lights in house for example) then again I managed to fail with autoflowers so I can't say either is foolproof. Auto's should give you a better chance as they finish earlier before mold sets in then again it's true most are indoor strains and don't have the needed mold resistance outdoor strains do so they can mold in the middle of summer.

Im working on the theory that autos will be easier as in this country most photo period strains will get killed before finishing, woth autos you don't have to wait till days get short before it flowers therefore cold won't get them if you plant on time.
