?best way to breed fungi?

My question is why? go buy some great white and make a tea, feed, and multiply. Dont forget a hand full of wormcastings...feed with molasses.

With thinking like that why even grow my own meds? Why not just go buy a bag from a dispensary? I already know how to grow quality meds. My love of growing expands beyond just doing what I know works. I am constantly changing methods and researching, trying to find ways to improve what I do and learn about all aspects of what makes the plants thrive.
Sorry for the rant lol I just tested some KVS... basically I just want to do it to see if I can. It will help me learn more about microbes in the process and that can't be a bad thing, can it?

Well then I just told you how, when you buy Great White or any other your buying spores, you wet, and feed them they multiplly... Or are you planning on finding those spores in the wild and identifying them and multiplying your own?

If you have ever worked with spores before, you could appreciate how much work could go into identifying and then multiplying what is in 1ml of forest soil. Even if you could identify them which would be the easy part, then isolating that strain and working it contamination free would be the hard part, great white has 15 different species of mycorrhizal fungi, 11 different species of beneficial bacteria and 2 species of trichoderm, chances are they dont even all exsist in your local forest soil. Without a Lab that undertaking would be near impossible, frustrating and a waste of time...thousands of hrs, growing out petri dishes which many would be contaminated.

I'm not planning on collecting from the wild I'm just trying to find a way to grow them in bottles the same way microbe life hydroponics does with photosynthesis plus. Basically just make more of the product. It's just a fun experiment that might save me some money down the road.

Most bacteria have a life span of 20 min to a few hours, soooo its all about feed and multiply.

The question I have is there anything at all in voo doo juice besides dead cell bodies and water? How can there be after the bacteria have eaten all the food? It be great to find out just what were being sold. I wouldnt doubt it for a second that were all getting ripped from fert dealers, who is going to complain the weed grower?

From what I have gathered the way microbe life deals with the problem is that they add a hydrogen sulfide solution into the mix that puts them in a dormant state and once diluted in water they become active again. The part I'm having a problem with is figuring out the correct ratio of microbes, food, and HS to add.
I'm also trying to figure out exactly what the HS solution is.

I'm still working out the amounts but I know the basic steps of what I need to do now.

1. Mix live microbes with "food" in a sterile jar with filtered breathable lid.
2. Shake jar and withdrawl a small sample to view under microscope.
3. document the results from several drops.
4. Maintain proper and consistent temp In jar
5. Take samples and compare every few days.
When rapid growth is observed and microbes start to overtake the food is when to add the sulfur solution.
From there just seal the jar and store.

The point is to catch it at the right moment before all the nutrients are used and the microbes have nothing left to eat. Once the sulfur solution is added it should put them into a dormant state until it is diluted into water.

I'm going to confirm exactly what the sulfur solution is and at what rate to use. Then it will simply be trial and error until I figure it out. It actually shouldn't be very hard. Being sterile will be the hardest part but I have a contam free zone I use for mushrooms so I should be ok.
