I'm looking for some good with nutrients in it I got fox farms ocean forest and it's good so far however I'm curious about about other tried and true soils you guys have used extensively especially because I heard fox farms is hot or miss and not consistent.

I've grown in a variety of soil/coir brands and settled on the fox farm trifecta, OF-HF-LW and perlite, amended with an organic granular fertilizer.
After 3yrs. of trial and error, for ME, this has produced consistent, reproducible results with zero defects. Hope you find your sweet spot. Auto grower.

I began growing with Ocean Forest/Happy Frog/perlite, then Ocean Forest/perlite 50/50. And have been using Bushdoctor (Fox Farm product) Coco Loco for many years now. Ocean Forest and Coco Loco are both amended and don't require nutes for the first 3-4 weeks. I'm pretty happy with Coco Loco.

Simple grower here. Over the years, I've grown in anything organic available from miracle grow, FFOF, Promix, Biobizz, Humboldt....and a few more I'm sure.In '06, there was a grow shop in a nearby town, and until they got busted, the owners encouraged trial and error. I eventually settled on Humboldt Soil....very light ammendments and easy to use.
After the grow shop got busted & closed in '10 or '11, I started using biobizz light mix from various shippers, and have for years..... It does the job straight outta the bag. I used DI water for 2-3 weeks, then push light nutes.
Always reading up on alternative grow mediums but simple is where I'm at.

Yeah I prefer soils with pre added nutes otherwise I might mess it up it is convenient just watering them with straight water for a few weeks.
