I want to use a pot that eliminates transplanting. IOW, you just put the seedling
and the pot it started in, in the big grow pot. That way you can avoid transplant shock.

There is a pot made out of manure that looks good, peat, and another made from coco...

Best way is to use the tiered method. Get some 32 oz. plastic cups and cut the bottom out of one. Take a second one and punch some drainage holes in the bottom. Place the one without the bottom inside the one with the drainage holes, fill it with soil and start your seeds in them. When it's time to plant in the finish pots, simply remove the outer cup and "plant" the cup without the bottom about 2/3 deep in your final pot. The roots will grow out the bottom and fill your final pot.

Dude, check out "air-pots. I use them and they a PERFECT for pot in pot. I do it myself.

I start them out in 1liters AP and then put that pot in a 6 or 10 liters air pot.

And the air pots are freekishly good pots aswell.

Check em out.

I'll keep it in mind. I got that Walmart self-watering pot just a couple days ago,
and I'm trying that on the next grow.

Total noob here and awaiting my beans, but I got 6 1lt air pots to do mine in... Quite an interesting pot... Looking forward to starting my grow!
