Hi all. I'm currently growing a speed devil 2 auto and its about time to harvest (FINALLY!!). I would like some feed back on how much longer I should wait to harvest and some reliable methods for drying and curing. I have already read a bit about the paper bag method and most seem to be satisfied with the results so right now I'm thinking about going that route. Here is a link to my other thread to look at the pics I've posted of my baby. https://www.autoflower.org/f35/hey-guys-new-afn-currently-growing-1plant-24317.html#post461844

everybody has different curing method. this is how i do it hang for one day for every 10% of rh if rh 50% five day's, then brown bag it for two day's
then into jar's, using in the jar hygrometer burping till between 62 and 65% rh and storing in jar's in a cool dark location. :2cents: i dont do the entire cure in bag's, i think it lose's smell and taste if cured only in the bag. most of the backwoods grower's here in my state use just the brown bag's and have for the past 50 year's. but this is the twenty first century:smokebuds:by the way noty....nice bud's!:smokebuds:

As allready said every one has their own method... It comes down to what you find are your best results. Experiment and try a few methods :) I personally use a drying rack (can be found on amazon, I use the mini as its plenty big) I let sit on there in dark closet with a small fan just circulating the air but not blowing on the buds directly, once I feel a branch make a snap (you don't want so dry that when you test for that snap the stem breaks)
Than into mason jars with hygrometer, and a broveda moisture mini pack thrown in there... I than burp five to six times a day for like first week till jar reaches 62-65% than you can store Indefinitely maybe burping every so often (once every week or two)
That's just my own personal method. Let us know what works best for you
Congrats on the harvest btw! Enjoy the fruits of your labor!

i have a stash of boveda pak's, but i have never had to use them.:peace:

Okay cool. Thanks for the info guys. Also thanks for the compliment Astronomy. The buds came out much better than expected for a pure CFL grow. :stylez rasta smoke:

Congrats on the grow!

Boveda paks are excellent to use for curing and storing. I'm using a curing system similar to Yodas. I've found that storing weed in a cvault with a boveda pak or 2 (depending on the size of the cvault) keeps the smoke fresh and yummy.

I had some smoke from 2 years ago stored in a small cloth bag. I was out of the country for 6 months and found that the smoke wasn't as fresh when I returned. At the suggestion of a nearby hydro store, I got on ebay and bought a cvault and a dozen or so boveda paks. Within a month the smoke had regained its potency, flavour and bag appeal. The smoke had been reincarnated by the cvault and boveda paks and was good as new! Hop digity
