Cheers guys.. I'm just trying to get ahead of myself and i guess a lil cocky thinking because i can finnish a grow i can grow like you green thumbs straight away,, never really considered trying to go by the gallon [emoji106] feel better knowing you guys are here helping when needed. Shoot for the moon brotha! Don't be discouraged! You've got the set up to do some awesome grows. Fill that tent up! But mathematically speaking, with 250w you'd need 250g for 1gpw.. That may be very hard to do in that space. But 3 plant in 2 gal pots, Or 2 plants in 3gal pots, and getting like 150g is doable, at a respectable .60ish gpw. Is your light dimmable?

Ha! Ye thanks man think I'll stick with the 8lt and just keep bettering myself until my tent is a jungle! Yes the meanwell is dimmable, not overly confident being able to accurately dim as is just with a screwdriver... would it need to be dimmed?

My best gpw is with dwc. I grow single site so no reservoir just a air pump and a bucket. Just one plant per tent they get big. You get bigger yeilds but if something messes up no back-up plants

The general opinion on cobs is that you want about 35w per square foot, rather than the 50 that's recommend with led. So you could easily get away with dimming it down to 150-175w. To do that, just gotta buy a basic wattage reader, like the omni one, plug the reader into a socket.. Plug your light into the reader to see the wattage. Then use the screwdriver to dim it while reading the watts. You can use a marker to make dots on the driver indicating different watts. Like a dial. It doesn't have to be dimmed. But if you are trying to hit 1gpw, 5-6 oz (at 150-175watts) is much more realistic in that space, than 8-9oz (at 250 watts).

Or you might think in terms of area (sq. ft.) per oz. I jam plants, which never get BIG, in a small tent and regularly average about 2 oz. per sq. ft. used. I am very satisfied with that. I suspect that monster size plants, which most everyone wants, don't get that much yield per tent area.
