Mephisto Genetics Best Mephisto strains for Rosin

Hi folks,

I‘ve just ordered my first rosin press and would like to ask you about your experience with pressing Mephisto gear. Which strains would you recommend?

Most all meph stuff was/is pretty good some of the ones that stand out in my memory are Double Grape, 24 Carat, Old School Mango Haze, Walter White, Forum Stomper, Sour Stomper, Creme De la Chem, and others just drawing a blank right now can't really think of a bad pressing strain from them

I‘ve got some CDx3Bog in jars, quite resinous and nice to smoke … so this will be my first try. Currently I have got Mango Sorbet, Livers Bx1 and AvT in my garden … just 1 week old. Old School Mango Haze unfortunately was sold out but is definetly on my with list. Having grown Mango Smile and Mango Sunrise (Night Owl Seeds), all Mango strains seem to be good option, don‘t you think?

The press and all the other stuff I’ve ordered will arrive next week, so I‘m really exited to make the first attempt at pressing and producing my own e-juice.

I‘ve got some CDx3Bog in jars, quite resinous and nice to smoke

That was the other one I couldn't think of it was a mango smile x 3bog cross

Having grown Mango Smile and Mango Sunrise (Night Owl Seeds), all Mango strains seem to be good option, don‘t you think?

Yeah never thought about that but I would agree always a fan of a mango variety

I‘am reading and watching a lot of tutorials, these days and it isn‘t easy at all to orientate yourself! For the first attempt I thougth of using 2 bags with 5gram each, one bag 90 micron, the 2nd one 120 micron. I would apply 900 psi at 205 F but still don‘t know exactely how long I should press. The second pressing maybe at 210 F and 1.000 psi, but still no idea about the duration. So your advice would be highly apprecciated! Quality is a must but preservation of terpenes isn‘t my most important goaI because I will have to clean/winterize the rosin before I start producing the juice. (I will add high quality terpenes after winterization).

I'd start with one bag those plates seem little small for two pucks unless they're small pucks. What you'll have to watch out for is rosin squishing out the sides your press looks similar to mine in the regard of not much from for extra paper on the sides. So rosin will squish out the sides and make a mess of the press and go for a loss. Just start with one and once you get an idea of how it going to press and everything will fit those plates are only 6cmx12cm.


I press at 180f most the time for fresh flower I do a 30 sec to 1 min warm up with pull slightly compressed. This gets everything up to temp and then start apply press reaching max pressure are 1000 material pressure not gauge pressure. The whole press time is any where from 5-6 min with warm up time included. If you have a runny strain you'll see flow slow and come to a stop generally I give a little longer while holding proper MPSI then call it around 5 min give or take

You can't go wrong with any Cultivars in the Mephisto menu....But a few distinct favourites of mine are:

Double Grape, Ripley's OG, Orange Biscuits, Super Orange Haze, Iced & Baked, Old School Mango Haze, Sundae Thumper, Mephistoreoz, Dosidelirium, and Brain Freeze.
