Photoperiod Barneys Farm - Peyote Crit/Watermelon Zkittles/Mimosa X Orange Punch

End of week 5 New
Its a day early but its the end of week 5.

Today the girls are getting their first real feeding. Its still cut back but ppms are at about 535-580. So basically full feed. I know I shouldn't do it but I'm cutting a lot of the fox farm line out. Seems like they focus on like 60% salt based and 40% organic, so really all I'm using from their liquid line is Big Blooms, Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, Microbe Brew, Kelp Me Kelp You, and cal/mag if absolutely needed.

Today's mix
1.5 tsp Grow Big
3 tsp Big Bloom
1 tsp Microbe Brew
1 tsp KMKP
Ph to 6.25
Ppm≈550

Did a little bit of clean up, just been letting them grow for the most part the last week or so. Also did some training. Really trying to keep everything evenly spaced width and height wise.

There are some yellow splotches on the watermelon and the Mimosa but both those leaves grew in that way so Im not worried about it. Weird batch of plants. The Mimosa is think i did drip on which might be why, but the watermelon I know I didnt. Its only 1 leaf on each plant and they'll be coming off eventually.

The plan right now is to veg another week or 2, maybe even 3 if I do another veg feed. But I wanna flip to flower starting no later than June 1st. So hopefully I will be harvested by the end of August and smoking on some home grown by October.

Mulling over what I should line up next and I think I've decided to lean towards the sativas and grow Dutch Passion Strawberry Cough, and In House Genetics Slurricane #7 S1. Just one plant each. Getting a little ahead of myself but when I flip to flower I like to start thinking about what's next.

I actually rely on fox farm nutes. Of all the nutrient lines that I’ve researched, fox farm doesnt add any calcium to any of their products aside from calcium nitrate which is N. Its huge for me because i cant run RO where im at and my tap water is loaded with calcium carbonate and magnesium. After alot of trials and errors i finally figured out why i was getting so much better results from fox farm when i know there are better products out there.my two cents, something to consider if you use tap water, a non issue if you are using any other source of water. Girls look good gromie!

Yeah I hardly ever add cal mag, maybe once right after I switch to flower, but thats like a half or quarter dose, but it seems like if I use their whole liquid line for soil feeding, some stuff ends up getting out of balance. Theres a lot of doubling up on their nutes and I know they're all meant to work together, but its a lot of stuff to buy, and I always end up with some kind of tox/deficiency mid flower and by the end plants look like poo. The bud is ok though. But this is the longest I've gone without seeing rust spots amd interveinal chlorosis on any of my plants. The less is more routine is working out so far. As for water I collect spring water straight from the ground. I got the water report on it last year, its basically bottled spring water or pretty close to it. Plants like it and as long as I monitor ppms everything seems in order.

I just use their base nutrients, ive come up with a nutrient regimen that works for me, its a mix of different companies, but as far as base nutes i cant find another one without added calcium. I almost wonder if its made to use with tap water

It just might be, it is made for regular gardening, they probably expect people to use it straight out the hose. Although their feed charts make me think RO water because the ppms they call for are always in the 1000s
