First timer.. I planted this about 5 days ago under a\ 400w hps about 30" away, i had two other seedlings die before this,
i dont know if im under watering or over watering, its coco/perl 70/30 and im misting and watering daily and the coco still looks dry.

This is costing me a fortune in seeds. is this even salvagable? really love to figure out whats wrong. ta

as you can see droopy leaves stunted growth and yellowing leaves but u cant see that very well

Are you leaving a humidity dome on them? I leave the dome on until they are a little bigger. I'll take it off while I water the others etc. You can also prop one edge up on a stick or something after a few days to partially vent it and acclimate it to lower humidity. in coco you should be able to give that guy a shot glass or 2 every other day or so with dome on it. Sometimes when they are that size I will leave my clear solo cup dome on and water 2 cups or so around the perimeter of the dome. Makes the roots stretch for the moisture without drenching them. I press down on the top of the cup. That prevents the water from flooding beneath the rim. You have to try something different than what you have done. I have never had a fail once a bean popped. Had some funky genetics but no fail. I hope this helps.

Thanks, i'll do that asap, will the bottom of a coke bottle work?
Ii had 2 seedling under a 600hps but the light was a lot further away but a lot of heat and it was an old magnetic ballast and the seedling fell over looked like stretching and weak stems but at least they were green :) , but i got a digital 400w hps off my uncle and i started using that to make it easier for myself, and added a fan blowing at it but the seedling looked better at this stage i just dont get it if imjust using 6 ph water ive tried lots of water and hardly any water i leave wet towels up and pots of water round it what DO THEY WANT FROM ME? tell me what you want baby ill give it to you

Any clear vessel. I dont PH my water for seedlings personally. Dechlorinated water for my seedlings. If they start getting leggy move the light closer. Also seedlings can handle their stalks buried so if I get a seedling with a 2" stalk I will add medium to the pot to achieve a 1" stem for example. Add as much soil as seems right. Enough so that it is holding itself up.

Too bad I cant market seedlings. LOL

Also please take your photos with that light off. Your camera flash would be a much better light. In that light the seedling looks like the dicot leaves. Cant tell anything from it. Thanks. Always take pics with natural light. Bring them to a window if possible. use a 5000k bulb in a small lamp you bring in the tent for photos... etc. Saves us all time as you will always be asked to take photos over.
Thanks

I would like previous suggested put a little dome over the top and mist it twice a day keep it there until the leaves touches the sides then remove it.. Seedlings don't need alot of water for the first couple weeks... I would water in a circle about 2-3 inches around your seedling, let the roots search for the water.. Water when the soil feels about a knuckle deep dry

ok thanks. i will do that now because i was wondering how to do it for a good picture i just thought my ancient phone camera was crap lol.

last time the seedlings looked better but under a 600 lots more heat and alot more water but they looked healthy i was putting in like 3litres of water in a 20l pot and ive stopped watering so much got the temps down and lowered the light and how can this one look worse?
these are auto banan blaze and this is my last seed which is a bummer but i just planted 2 NLs and and want to figure this out so they dont suffer the same dreadful fate. om off to take a better pic :D

That size seedling if I waterd it directly would get maybe 2 shotglass of water.
